I am rejecting this response because: I will start by saying that I did estimate the so I will just believe the price he providedHowever he was very rude when I spoke with him asking where I have been which I did respond by saying I have been in Yuba city the whole time I had just moved and got a new jobHe probably didn't hear that because of his rudeness trying to speak over me the entire time we spokeI don't believe I wrote my number down wrong because he did call me back time so how did he not have my number? That doesn't make any sense at allAnd if I was running a business I would update my customers when I change my phone number or at least check the messages from it as I had called his old number which was [redacted] too many times to countI wasn't able to just go into his location anymore because his shop is closed the same days I am off work Sunday and Monday

Here is Dave's Gunsmithing's response to the complaint from [redacted] You will see from the attachments that we made quite a few attempts to contact this customerOn 4-28-Clinton [redacted] brought a [redacted] MLR Carbine in to be repairedThe gunsmith looked the gun over and informed Mr [redacted] it would be expensive to repair and if it was sent back to [redacted] that all Mr [redacted] would have to pay is the shipping to ***At the end of Mr [redacted] came into the store to check on his gunWe had told him that the companies are usually backed up and it could take monthsWe told him to check back every weeksAs you can see we received a firearms shipment approval letter from [redacted] on 1-29-We received the firearm back in early Feb We tried to contact Mr [redacted] but there was no responseWe sent certified letters to the address givenOn the second letter a woman called us and said that house was empty when she moved in a year beforeIf I had a firearm in for repair we would update our information so they could call usWe looked up the cost of that firearm and our competitor was not 700.00If you look at the repair ticket we let the customers fill out the workorderHe gave his phone number with one number wrong to his real numberWe had actually in addition tried looking him up on [redacted] and ***Mr [redacted] called us again on 3-14-I answered the phone and Mr [redacted] asked about his rifleI informed Mr [redacted] that it was sold and whyNo one was rude or loud or nasty to Mr [redacted] We talked to him in a voiceMr [redacted] was the person who got very angry and making statements backI asked Mr [redacted] times where he was all this time but he would not answer meWe have to dispose of firearms that have been in our custody too long of a period or sell them to pay for our fees of shipping and storageWe have inspections from the [redacted] and [redacted] and I have to be given write-ups from them for having the guns stored too longWe do charge a per day storage fee if firearms are left in our possession and after repeated letters and phone calls the fees startHis storage fees would amount to 1,

Tell us why hereWe did notify people about our phone number changeThe phone number is also posted on the doorHad he came by the shop he would have seen the numberWe have not heard from *** ***s the middle of January He came by and he was notified then that his weapon was being shipped back and we should have is soonAs soon as it came back we tried to notify him with no responseAlso, we are closed Sunday and Monday BUT we are in the shop on Monday'sWe are just not open to the publicHe was told that, he was also told he can come by on Monday's just knockIt is not my job to track you downWe ask for that information for a reasonHe could have also contacted us through e-mailsThe only time I have spoken to Mr***'s is when he had come by the shopWe were never able to contact him with the number we were givenWe fund out his number when he called recentlyWe did everything we could to contact himWe are only requires to hold the weapon for days or when the storage fee's are higher then the cost of the repairsWe contacted Mr***'s twice by registered mail and once by regular mail and held the weapon months longer then we have toI was not rudeI did however state the facts and ask Mr***'s where he has beenHe should have came by the shop he knew in January his weapon was on the way back
