This company entered into a contract dated July 2, to remove and replace entire roof at *** *** *** *** *** *** ** (my residence) to include all pipe boots and repair rotten wood around chimney and rotten wood at rear of houseRoof carries a year warranty against leaks and workmanshipShingles were to be years which were improperly installed and the removal of roof was also not done properlyDue to the improper installation, I needed to have the roof replaced on January 25, by another roofing contractorThey discovered rotten sheets of plywood which included the chimney area supposedly repaired by Dave's Tree Service Home ImprovementsThey claimed that no rotten wood was present, but they failed remove the felt in between the plywood and shingles and just covered over the existing roof felt with new shinglesI contacted Dave's Tree Service Home Improvement about a leak discovered on or about late August/early SeptemberThey claimed that no leak was present and that is was just moisture buildup and suggested ventilationThat issue was partially resolved but the moisture/wetness came backRoof was inspected Dec23, in conjunction with the sale of my home and the inspector discovered the improper installation with respect to the roofDave's Tree Service Home Improvement was informed of the results of the roof inspection and was given a copy of the report on Jan7, I proceeded to ask him (Dave's) to replace the roof at their cost and he refused and stated that I was threatening himHe stated that he didn't have the bundles to replace the roofI responded that this improper installation of the roof cost me the sale of my houseHe left and never contacted me again
