The repairs to our broken washer were never done.The washer that we are renting from a furniture and appliance company started leaking water on 8/24/2014. We called the rental company and let them know. They called [redacted] to find an authorized repairman in our area. There were only two. Dave's Appliance Repair was the only one with an appointment sooner than 9/14. Our appointment time was set up for 9/2/2014 between 11 am and 2 pm. The owner, [redacted], did not show up until almost 7 pm that day. When he did not show up between 11 and 2, I called the rental company to get his phone number to call him directly. I called and was told that he had a medical emergency and that he would be at our house by 6 pm. When he did finally show up at 7 pm, my husband showed him the issue (a rubberized seal around the front loader door was leaking water). He stated that he was not told what the issue was and that he didn't have the part to fix it. He then rescheduled a day to return (9/6/2014 between 11 am and 2 pm). On 9/6/2014, we waited for his arrival. The appointment time came and went and he did not arrive. My husband called and was told that he would get a return phone call. When Mr.[redacted] called back, my husband was told that Mr.[redacted] had had surgery on his knee two days before and that he had split his knee open again. He was returning to the doctor to have new stitches put in. He then rescheduled for 9/7/2014 for the same appointment time. The next day, he did not show up. We have not received another phone call to reschedule nor have we had our multiple calls returned. My washer continues to sit in our dining room, unused and broken. I called him again a week later and left a voicemail stating that I was unhappy with the services that he did not render and that if I did not hear back from him in a reasonable amount of time that I would file a complaint with both the Revdex.com and our [redacted]. Desired SettlementI would like for Mr. [redacted] to repair my washer before 10/31/2014 or give us the name of another repair person.
