Review: When I purchased carpet from a Wholesaler, he told me I had a lifetime guarentee on installment. When the receipt was left with the two workers, not him. The receipt had very little on it and I told the guys to tell Dave I want more info on this carpet and they said it should be no probelm. When I first called Dave for some paperwork and a warranty he said if you have any problems you just go through me. Said there really was no warranty. I told him I did not feel comfortable with that and just for my records I would like it. He said fine and never got back to me, when I left msgs on the phone for what I needed, he would never call back. The only time I could talk to him is when he picked up the phone not knowing it was me. I was very polite. I did not know the manufacture, or the name of carpet . Never got installation gaurentee in writing. When I just asked for what was covered and specific name. He emailed me a pic of the back of the sample he showed. Me no name. When I emailed I wanted a name too and said why is this so hard for you, He left me a msg said I was rude and asked why I am asking all these questions, you go thru me if there is a problem, said to find another carpet man for the future he is done with me and accused me of something being wrong with carpet already. He was so secretive and tried to ignore my requests as much as possible. I then got very mad and wrote him a kinda nasty letter, I was fed up. I told him I am the customer and I had a right to anything I wanted to know about carpet. He emailed me back and said to quit harassing and name calling him or he will see me in court. I called a different carpet man and emailed him the picture on the back of sample he said he thinks it was from Shaw's gave me a bunch of no.'s amd Shaw's email. When I emailed Shaw with the information they said they could not tell if it was their's by carpet guys description. They told me my seller should be able to give me all that information. He said if there is ever a complaint he would need a detailed receipt.

I found out they do have a written warranty and "how to care for carpet guide" Which I should have. They would need:

shaw style no.

name of carpet

color details

style no.

the yardage purchased excluding sundries and labor

Brand name

all of this on a detailed receipt, I had nothing!Desired Settlement: The manufactures written warranty and care book

A different receipt with detailed description about everything I am talking about and have a right to have everything I am requesting.

A written dated and signed warranty about a life time installation

I don't trust him and think he is trying to hide something, I don't want his verbal word!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On 08-16-13 We did work for [redacted] My installers arrived at her home move her furniture ( it was supposed to be move prior to our arrival ) We removed the existing carpet and pad ( pet urine soaked ) and dispose of it . We treated the floor with a sealer . Install new tacless strip where needed . Installed new pad . Installed new carpet . Moved back her furniture . Billed miss [redacted] and she paid the invoice # [redacted] and said the install and the carpet were great . Sevrel days later I recived a voice message from miss [redacted] she wanted a written warranty for a lifetime installition warranty . I never told her in any way shape or form there was a lifetime installation warranty . She might be mistaken the manufacturer warranty LIMITED WARRANTIES : LIFETIME STAIN RESISTANCE WARRANTY : 15 YEAR SOIL RESISTANCE WARRANTY : 10 YEAR QUALITY ASSURANCE WARRANTY : 10 YEAR TEXTURE RETENTION WARRANTY : 10 YEAR ABRASIVE WARRANTY : 30 DAY CUSTOMER SATISFACTION GUARANTEE After sevrel atempts to call miss [redacted] she called me back I talked to her and asked her if there was a problem she said no the install and the carpet were fine . Then asked for the lifetime install warranty in writing . I told her I never gave a her lifetime installation warranty . She was very rude and belligerent . Afew days later I recived a very rude and belligerent email that contained profanity . Miss [redacted] was supplied with a invoice .
