We would like to change our request to be compensated $13,500 which is what represents:  original costs of this contractor plus all the supplies we bought (crown molding, chair rail, lights, paint, primer, dropcloths, tarps, a set of sheets he used as dropcloths, 2 pairs of safety glasses,...

etc), PLUS the additional cost for the new contractors to undo and redo the substandard workmanship, including having to remove all crown molding and fix adjoining walls and ceiling, properly install all new crown molding, install a new drywall ceiling, check and redo the wiring, align the recessed lights properly and clean all the furniture, table, chairs and other items covered with paint/mud/primer splatter)
