Response: [redacted] parked her vehicle in a lot where we hold the Impounding contract. Her vehicle was left pulled into a parking space. We got a call to remove it from the lot. When our driver arrived they unlocked the passenger door and placed the vehicle in neutral. Then pushed it out by hand so...

as not to damage the transmission. The vehicle was then loaded onto a wheel lift where the drive wheels do not touch the ground, and was taken to our Secure Impound lot. When [redacted] came to pick up her vehicle, her mother came with her with the Impound money but remained in her vehicle. Possibly due to being embarrassed after the day long cussing she gave our Dispatcher and Owner. The vehicle was in our lot backed in. All [redacted] needed to do was put it in drive and pull away. Instead she put it in reverse with a vehicle directly behind her then started yelling, You've torn up my car. My guys spent quite some time trying to work with the vehicle to get it to go backwards. But it wouldn't. They even checked that her linkage was hooked up and it was. I'm going to summarize what happened. [redacted] somehow tore out her reverse, then pulled the vehicle into a parking space and left it overnight. She knew it wouldn't back up, so she left it. As for My son, telling her pushing it broke her reverse. One he wasn't there. Two he is not that ignorant. He would never have said something so ignorant. IF and I'm saying if pushing the car out by hand would have hurt the transmission then it would have torn the entire transmission out. Not just reverse. And my guys aren't that strong. Pushing the car by hand was a courtesy to prevent damage. Please ask [redacted] WHY she tried to go in reverse with vehicles directly behind hers when she was clear to simply go forward. I get it, do you?? Thanks, [redacted]

Ms. [redacted] stated that she received our Certified letter on her way to her Grandmother's funeral. Although we are of course very sorry she lost her Grandmother, we do not get what this has to do with anything. Had Ms. [redacted] followed through on transferring her "Sold" vehicle out of her name instead of letting the "New Owners" leave with only a notorized bill of sale she would have NEVER received the letter. Ms. [redacted] apparently doesn't understand that when a vehicle is sold, it MUST be transferred into the new owners name. Otherwise that vehicle is still hers. If it wrecks into someone and kills them, it's still her vehicle, or if it gets Impounded. It's still registered to her. When we Impounded this vehicle, we called it in to Metro just as we do every vehicle, the Vin. Number came back registered to Ms. [redacted]. So we sent out a Certified letter same as always. To the registered owner, Ms. [redacted]. Ms. [redacted] did not want to hear this when she called our Dispatch. She wanted us to wave our magic wand and magically get the name and address of the "Nogood Individual" (her words), whom she had "Sold" this vehicle to who had failed to transfer it into their name. Our Dispatcher did her very best to be helpful when she talked with Ms. [redacted]. But since she wasn't saying what Ms. [redacted] wanted to hear, Ms. [redacted] continued telling her that she had sold the vehicle. Our Dispatcher answers 3 lines, these lines were going Beep Beep Beep Beep, all the while Ms. [redacted] refused to hear the truth. Our Dispatcher finally hit the end, and hung up on Ms. [redacted]. If she wants to believe it or not, in the eyes of the Law, this Vehicle belongs to her. The Vin. Number is still registered to Ms. [redacted] at her address listed. And no matter how many times she insisted that it didn't, the Law speaks for itself. Also, since Ms. [redacted] insists on calling our Dispatcher rude, just how rude was she ?????? She would not listen, she would not stop speaking, she would not believe the truth. All great reasons for a disconnect rather that a full blown argument since the conversation was about 5-7 minutes long, all the while Ms. [redacted] refusing to listen to the truth, and insisting we do something because she said she had sold the vehicle. I suggest that if ever Ms. [redacted] sells another Vehicle she follow the LAW, and follow through with a complete transfer at the court house. Same as we all must do. Thank You, [redacted]

Ms. [redacted]'s vehicle was Impounded. Appointments were made on both Saturday and Sunday to release her vehicle. She apparently doesn't like being held to appointments. Yes our office is closed on weekends, that's the reason we make appointments to release vehicles on weekends. Our Driver staff on weekends is half of what would be through the week so our drivers are busy on weekends. We made the appointments to release vehicles, called everyone and set the appointment time on both Saturday AND Sunday. Ms. [redacted] skipped both days then wants to complain because she couldn't come at her leisure to pick up her vehicle. We strive hard to please our customers however an Impounded customer is usually not pleased no matter what. So it is. The Impound fee is the same for the first three days so Ms. [redacted] was charged the same on Monday as she would have been had she made her either of her appointments on Saturday or Sunday. We are open 24-7 to tow or Impound but the office remains closed on weekends. Thus Appointments are made to release vehicles in order to give those wanting their vehicle before Monday a chance. While the Driver is releasing Vehicles he is not able to take runs. We need our drivers free to run. Ms. [redacted] doesn't like the way we run our business but hey, it's America we are free to run our business as we chose. Thank You, [redacted]

Response:We received a call from Airport Police, whom we hold the contract for towing and Impounds, requesting we Impound a 2008 Audi A6 Left Parked Illegially. We dispatched a tow truck and driver to the scene and picked up the Audi. We couldn't get into the vehicle so it was dollied to prevent...

damage, and taken to our Secure lot. All of this was done in the presence of the police. Lot fees start the minute the car hits the lot. If you go in a Movie when it's half over, you still pay full price to get in. This car came in on the 22nd, and left on the 24th,-Three days. If you reserve a hotel room for three days, and miss the first night, you still pay for it. Three Days. Police Impounds require more work so they cost more than a regular Impound. They require paperwork, All information from the driver, copies of Drivers License etc. We are not in the Office from Friday evening to Monday morning therefore this Police Impound couldn't be released until Monday morning. Three Days. My Dispatcher gets frustrated after the 100th call from the same person. [redacted] kept calling asking the Dispatcher the same questions. And he was running his mouth about our business. She explained over and over but it was not what he wanted to hear. She had to hang up on him to conduct Business. As far as the Citation in the car, Ask the Police. We do not hand out citations. And we weren't in the car. To sum this up. The car was left at the airport parked illegially. It was Impounded by the Airport Police, taken to our lot using dollies. It was there from the 22nd through the 24th., we count days not hours. It was a Police Impound which is more than a regular Impound. My dispatcher had no option but to hang up on [redacted] because he kept calling wanting to argue facts, he wouldn't accept the answer, he kept calling our Company Bad things, she hung up. I have to say this is one of the hardest "complaints" I've answered because it is what it is and "Some" people won't accept that. Thank You, [redacted]
