I lost my home to a fire and trusted the wrong business! I own my home and live in a HOA that covers condominiumsThis alone can be a very difficult sitution and everyone's sitution could be differentNothing this business has stated is trueDavey Do Handyman and Remodeling services has so many camplaints that go back for yearsCheck them out for yourself! T I'm making this statement to save others from making this same mistakeIts bad enough to deal with everything you have to when you have the right representationHire a reputable company,possibly someone you have previously done business with that you trustIf you have to hire someone you do not know make sure if they are Licensed and check it out firstTake your time, aLways get references, and from the right resourcesBE AWARE there are so many Cons an Scams out thereI have diffinently learned a great deal....being a single women and loosing your home you have no control overI have loss of use with my Insuranse company and was being pressured, they do this to save the company moneyWe need insurance but be aware they are not your friend, you have to fight for yourself. I am from a very large family an was taught that hard work is the the best thing for anyone! No one has given me anything except their supportOnce again do not trust anyone and especially if you are a womenThis business can not be trusted! In response to the complainants response I would like to point out that the only thing she refuted in our previous response was that she called in the middle of the night. I would also like to point out that she states that she hired an attorney and complained and got a refund, she complained to the insurance company and got a settlement, and now she is complaining to the apartments that things were not in place to prevent the fire to try to get a form of settlement (This all comes from her own words in the timeline she provided). It seems to me that she is a professional at getting services for free and this is the one time that it did not work out for her. Thank you,***

Mr*** provided the blueprints and measurements for this job...when we tried to measure and use our own he told us we were wrong and to use his which were obviously incorrect The materials issue was due to Mr*** constantly changing his mind and we would return the old materials and
purchase new (usually something we had not budgeted for, causing the need for more money) He was standing over my crew and harassing them so much so that I had a few guys leave my crew not wanting to deal with him, and his wife would have to come out and take him back to the other side of the house apologizing I understand that Mr*** had a traumatic experience with his house but that is no reason to demean or treat people disrespectfully and there comes a time when you have to draw a line The amount left owed on the contract was easily enough to have the few unfinished items completed by a handyman

First, I did not provide any measurements for the laundry room. I and my wife told them that they were making the room too short. I had to pickup the sliding doors for the laundry. After they completed the room and tried to put up the doors they were about 4 inches too short and couldn't put in the exhaust hose for the dryer. [redacted] attempted to do an extension to the wall with two by fours but the doors still would not fix. As for as the materials, he did not purchase any material based on my changing my mind. He did purchase insulation to do the job and then took it back and then there was not enough to do the job or get the blower to put it in. I had to go rent the blower and he did blow six bags in the ceiling. I told him that was not enough and he told me to go BUY more. I told him I was not his GOFFER and he got mad and left.  He also bought the flooring for my hardwood floors and the took back what he didn't use and then told me he didn't have enough to finish the floors and had to buy more. As for harassing his crew, they were supposed to be PROFESSIONAL, but were far from it. Of course I watched them and when I saw mistakes, I commented to them and to [redacted]. As for as my wife pulling me aside and apologizing, that is pure non-sense. His crew was put on other jobs and left [redacted] to do all the work by himself and I guess that made him mad. He fired some of people that were working on the job. As for as the money, he was paid upfront to do all the work and he didn't. I shouldn't have to hire any people to finish the jobs. I will have to hire someone fix the backsplash, the laundry room wall will have to be tore down and rebuilt and all the other tasks that need to be finished. I am totally disappointed with the work that was finished. There are so many flaws in the workmanship that was done that some of the work will have to be redone.

Please enter your reason(s) for rejecting the business response below.I have attached a full Synopsis of the Fire!  Davey Do  7/26/15 through 8/18/15.....He gave me what appeared to be a very good estiment with lots of upgrades 14,500. and due to me obvious distressed state I hired him to carr out the work with a very large deposit of 9,000. No I did not call in the night... David Soto Davey Do is a Liar, Con and a Scam out to get as much money as he can in a very short time. Davey Do is not a business man, he is in business to pray on people who are in distress an vunerable. He would ask me for 2,500 every 4-5 days. I found out his Lc he gave me had expired five months before....they did not return my call.  I just lost my home with no fault of my own, He bullied me and rushed me, made decisions and pruchases without me approval, I paid for materials he returned and pocketed the cash. I caught him bragging to someone about how much money he got from me. I ask for receipts and never recieved, he charged me for Air Conditioning repairs 900. an nothing was every done. I also paid him 875. for an electrician and I never received the reciepts or the LC. No one was ever around, the work that was done was upside down and we found open wires.  Davey Do only had one person working at a time, who was he paying. He took 15,600 and materials I never received! He canceled 900. of upgrades  and added 3,000 for four very cheap lower cabinets  I had to ripp out. He painted over mold, we had to completely rebuild everything he had done. The only thing he had done that was worth anything was the sheet rock on the ceiling and it was put up before the roof was built. It could have been damaged by the weather, I was living on a prayer. My Condo was in a fire which orginated in the unit back to back of mine. The HOA is responsible for the roof and the outside walls.
