I rented a storage space at [redacted]  or [redacted] in the Bronx ! For about months, June of last year ! I paid in advanced ! When I paid for another six months or three months ahead ! I moved out at the end of February [redacted] and the march rent was not used ! They owe me for march rent cause I didn't use or stayed there ! the lease says that if I moved out before the next month that I will get my month back ! But instead I had to remind them a month afterwards and I then in late April !!! I called three times and was told that I have to speak to the boss MrB [redacted] but he didn't get back to me yet ! But it been a month in a half and I still didn't get my money back ! This is bad business !!

Tuck-It-Away (TIA) advertised that rentals would be discounted for 3Ms from the time of rental I prepaid the discounted 3M rate (none of which was pro-rated), and moved some items in on January *** Thus, my promotion should continue until April ** Instead of being billed the pro-rated standard price on April 1, they claimed that my promotion had expired I have a contract that says I paid for months of service at the promotional rate, but they are not honoring itI tried to get a hold of customer service and was eventually able to reach someone at Tuck- It-Away, but this did not yield any progress Now, I have late fees on my account, and the threat of having the items auctioned and being responsible for additional fees, but I refuse to pay any more until the honor their promotion and my contract with them The contract states that billing is for the *** of the month, that all leases are month to month A promotion for months should last for complete months, i.eThe

My brother and I stored items at the Tuck-It-Away Storage Facility in the Bronx located at *** *** ***We were informed that the facility caught fire back in April The fire happened on the 2nd or 3rd floorOur items were on the 4thThey told us that the FDNY prohibited anyone from entering the building but a rep would be in touch soon to share an update
It is now October and after numerous attempts to contact the business via email and phone, I am now filing a formal complaint as they have gone darkI am presently out of state but visited the Bronx recentlyThe building is boarded up but there was no rep on-siteThere are also unsecured bins in the parking lot filled with itemsI saw what appeared to be addicts sifting thru the bins, which means there has been no effort on Tuck It Away's behalf to salvage any items that may have been left
I tried to locate a corporate office this morningAfter visiting ***, I was directed to *** *** ***

On Thursday, February **, I received a voice mail from Santos at this Tuck-it-Away location, informing me that there was an "emergency" at the building because a "pipe burst because of the cold weather." He said he needed me to stop by the site and "do an inspection of your unit to make sure there's no water in there." An email was also sent to me on the same dayMy husband stopped by shortly thereafter and learned from another employee of the storage company that the pipe had actually burst on Tuesday, and no one had discovered it earlierThus, storage units had been flooded for a full hours before the company even reached out to anyoneWhen my husband then went to inspect our unit, he found that there were numerous items, worth thousands of dollars, that had been destroyed by the waterHe has not seen more than one employee on site in the several occasions he has gone to the storage unit to recover what is salvageable and determine the extent of the damageThe storage company

I have been a customer of this business since July In August I noticed a cloth laundry bag was damp and filled with moldy clothesI had assumed that something happened during the move and the clothes weren't dried properly after being exposed to something wetIn July a bag in the exact same spot was wet on the outside and waterlogged on the inside and the clothes inside were wet, moldy, and ruinedI noticed a huge water stain in the ceiling and I knew then that there was a leak above the unitI spoke to the on-site manager, Gabriel, who immediately dismissed me and refused to believe meI said "the outside and inside of the bag is wet, there's clearly a leak in my unit." He replied with "So you sayI don't see any damage."
He instructed me to speak with Brandon, who got back to me a handful of days after the reportBrandon did not believe me eitherHe said it would be "impossible for only one unit out of to have a leak." He went on to mention all the bus

This business has since been taken over by ExtraSpace StorageThe business added charges constantly to my bill, took partial payments but continued to charge late fees, auction fees and other fees and when I repeatedly complained in writing and verbally, threatened me with my things being soldI want my bill adjusted and I want my items to not be soldThey also did not apparently keep full records of transactions

I was going to pick up some stuff and pay my bill on May ***...Not knowing and totally unaware of what happened and I saw the building burned up and shut down!!!! Like all my things I owned where in there!!!! EVERYTHING!!!
So so depressing!!!
I been a customer for years!!! On April *** around 12midnight (they are closed)...There was a fire and had destroyed all my belongings and some sentimental items that money cannot replaced! I did not have renter insurance and I called and I was told by someone named Brain...I said I have no insuranceHe basically stated THAT SORRY YOU HAVE TO TAKE THE LOSS!!!! Really then I hope Tuck It Away has FIRE insurance I thought that they would at least try and compensate me on somethingNow I must file court documents/proceedings which I must sue and will cost more money but hey...Tuck It Away see you in court!
They should call people as well to inform them besides sending letters (not to me) and alleged emails which I never gotAll sim

I hired Tuck-it-Away movers to move the contents of my apartment into their storage units on *** *** in BrooklynPrior to the move I asked the customer service representative Steve C***, whether or not the movers would be using blankets to cover my furniture for the moveHe said that they definitely wouldI was concerned about this so I asked twice and both times it was confirmed by SteveWhen the movers arrived and only had dollies I asked if they would be covering the furniture with blankets and they said yes, in the truckI was concerned at this point since putting the furniture on the dollies would scratch the furniture without the blankets When I went to go down to look at the truck, I saw that they didn't cover any of the furniture in the truck and to make matters worse they just slid the furniture around in place not on blankets thus scratching the furniture very badly and ruining it
The movers were very nice however, unfortunately they really took their tim
