Review: David B. Almond, DVM was recommended by my neighbor as a big animal vet that could neuter male goats. I had two 10 month old goats and two 9 day old male goats that he removed the testicles on Thursday December 4, 2014. When he was done, one of the 10 month old goats [redacted] could not stand up, he said he would be okay and stand up later. [redacted] the goat did not stand up and was paralyzed in both back legs. David did come back up on the next day on Friday December 5, 2014 after I left quite a few voicemails and gave him a steroid shot and another shot for white muscle and left two shots for me to give to [redacted] in four days, even though I told him I could not give shots. [redacted] did not improve and I had to find someone who could give the shots to [redacted]. It has been over a week and there has been no improvement. The goat has been suffering the whole week, screaming, trying to move and just dragging his body. After leaving quite a few messages again, Dave said he did not think a daily oral steroid would help and he could not put [redacted] down but would have to be taken all the way down to Humane Society in Keaau and he would call me with arrangements for Friday but did not. I had to have a different big animal vet come up and put [redacted] down so he would not suffer any more.Desired Settlement: I have asked David via voicemail because he does not answer him phone, to either pay for [redacted] being put down which will cost even more than what I paid David or to refund me the $209.88 that I paid him on December 4, 2014 on check 1594. I have not heard back from him as of 1:30 pm today December 12, 2014.
