We paid a large sum of money to have exterior siding replaced at rear of house and this company totally bungled the job.This 'crew' showed up at XXXXX [redacted] on July 9 of this year to remove the existing siding and replace it with 4'x8' sections of Hardieboard which we had already purchased and had on site. It was apparent they were not carpenters of any sort, but we never thought they could turn the back of the house into the disaster they left it in. The siding was misscut, pieced together.and dabbed with latex caulk as opposed to the sealer required for the factory warranty. Decking type screws were left sticking out and also dabbed with caulk. Even the corner board trim that was only 10' long was pieced and caulked. When they decided they were done they simply walked off and left us to clean up the mess. Then cash was demanded or else they were going to court and "take your house". I am a retired licensed contractor. This work is so below par, it's off the scale. Not to mention the 13 sheets of Hardieboad being ruined at $40. per sheetDesired SettlementReturn the $800. paid to ruin the back of the house
