driveways. [redacted] through her neighbor said that she wanted the cheaper material on her driveway. Like the neighbors, that material was shur pac. Due to the distance on trucking that was cheaper per load. The shur pac is actually a better material then the crushed gravel. Shur pac is crushed ledge and stone and stone dust and has a grayish color. The crushed gravel is crushed stone and sand which has a brownish color. The short road coming to the homes was topped with crushed gravel as specified by the neighbor. There must have been a misunderstanding between the three of us. [redacted] wanted the cheaper material so that was what we put on as well as her neighbors drive. When we were all done and sent the bill [redacted] emailed and thanked us for getting there and everything looked good except that she didn’t want the grayish color on her drive, she wanted it to be brown like the road. She originally said she would pay 1/2 and would pay the other 1/2 after we fixed it. In the end she did pay the full bill. We had given her a new price of $300.00 to come back and put some of the crushed gravel (brown material) on her driveway but we just ran out of time last year before the weather made it impossible. So in the end we did do the job and we did it well, there was just a misunderstanding on her part as to what material should have been used. We had no problem going back and fixing the driveway for her we just simply ran out of time. We have been in business for 36 years and have always tried to do a good job for a fair price and keep everyone happy.
