David Dolin Roofing, Inc. Reviews (3)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

[redacted] Dolin Roofing met with [redacted] at the property on November 21 to review the areas that [redacted] is concerned about.  The issues that [redacted] pointed out are related to water going behind the gutter in the vacinity to the left of the garage.  As our company does not install gutters and we could not determine how the water is going to run off when doing the inspection we did not note it as an issue.  When they met it was suggested that another downspout be installed to be able to permit a freerer waterflow during heavy down pours as the gutter that is hung is slightly slanted directing the water to pond towards the opposite end of the downspout.  When this occurs the water rises and causes the sheathing to get wet.  If drain is plugged or gutters are clogged this will cause water ponding and not a free flow which causes obstruction.  On the back side of house there is an area where the plywood is lifted, possible that the carpenters missed nailing.  The life of the roof is still in good condition and the sealing of the jacks was done when we re-inspected as well as caulking of the nailheads.  We are willing to resolve the lifting of the plywood.  We can also repair an area where it appears a satelite dish was and may have been removed after the inspection? However the gutter concern and an additional downspout should be installed first so this does not reoccur after we fix the plywood. Thank you[redacted] Dolin Roofing

We inspected the roof located @ [redacted], Valley Springs, CA 95252 on May 14, 2015. The realtor had said the homeowner had did the repairs, we then re-inspected the roof. We then did a re-do of the work just to be precautious as we are certifying that the repairs have been made. We could...

see that the existing roof still has/had life expectancy and sent a work certification which means the repairs performed were completed and does not offer any warranty only factual information stating that the roof still has remaining life and the type of shingles and it's minimum life expectancy per lenders standard request for lending purposes. We received a call a year later approximately asking us to look at the roof as the son [redacted] had concerns about the roof. I asked him is it leaking or did you lose any shingles? He stated that no it was not leaking but he was concerned. I suggested my husband go by and see if there is anything that is a miss as we had did some sealing around the plumbing jacks per our suggested repairs of the roof inspection submitted. We caulked some nails which were exposed and cleaned out the gutters. Upon our arrival we as a courtesy re-caulked the jacks again, even though they looked good. We then received a call in August expressing concerns again. At the time my husband's foot was injured and was healing. We stated that as soon as he is able we will meet and [redacted] is now able to walk and plans to contact [redacted]. We then received his letter about extensive damage, etc. We have driven by on several occasions and there are no shingles missing, we did not receive any calls about leaks or water intrusion and we have had very very heavy rains. We will be contacting [redacted] this upcoming week. Please note that we did not install the roof and our roof inspections state this: [redacted] Dolin Roofing has inspected the above roof. It is intended for informational purposes only and cannot be construed to be a prediction of the subject's roof performance. [redacted] Dolin Roofing will not be held responsible for any problems that become apparent after the date of the inspection. Dry rot is excluded from our reports and we have no way of telling the condition of the plywood unless there are soft spots or if the plywood was installed correctly. If you obtain a pest report we request a copy of the report prior to the roof inspection. We are not responsible for structural integrity regarding trusses, purlins, box purlins, rafters, etc. Our reports are for the information of the type of shingle, how old it is approximately and the remaining life.
