David Gallagher Bail Bonds Reviews (%countItem)

I worked closely with *** of *** Bail Bonds and our attorney to have a $10,000 bond set in Tarrant County for a family member who is releasing from Federal custody on April 15th, but who has a warrant out in Tarrant County for a prior DWI charge. The issue is somewhat complicated and I personally have never had to deal with setting up or paying a bond before. *** was very helpful until I needed detailed instructions and information on what my family member should do regarding the coronavirus issues and the Governor Ordered 14 day quarantine since he is traveling from Louisiana into Texas. These issues are very important to get correct information about, but *** seemed to be irritated that I was trying to get more details on how to proceed. She then suggested I begin using another bond company after I have spent a great deal of time working on this bond. Her level of service was very good until I needed information on how to handle the quarantine and what to do at the jail, and I was also simultaneously emailing the attorney on my family member's case so that I could get correct information. *** gave me conflicting information and was at times difficult to communicate with. She decided I should use another bonding company 2 days prior to the release date of my family member and the scheduled walk-through to the jail. This level of service is unacceptable and this company should be reprimanded for its negligence and the incompetence of this particular employee.

David Gallagher Bail Bonds Response • Apr 30, 2020

To whom it may concern,

Lacy *** first contacted *** Bail Bonds around March 13th 2020. She spokewith *** and provided information about her brother, *** situation and shementioned that she had no knowledge of how bonds work or how to handle the situation. ***then gave a brief explanation/overview, answered questions, and offered her advice andsuggestions on how things should be handled moving forward.

Because *** would not be out of Federal prison until April 15th, 2020, it was agreedshe and *** would touch base again the week prior to his release. Between March 14 and theweek of April 6 (the week prior to *** release), Ms. called and emailed numeroustimes with questions, which were consistently answered, including answering questions severaltimes that had already been asked and answered. If Ms. did not like the answer to aquestion she would become agitated, loud and rude.

*** spent a large amount of time (approximately 20 hours) dealing with Ms. duringthis time, answering questions, calling the jail, calling the court, and calling myself. *** evenorganized a walk through for ***, an event that is a great convenience for him andsomething that could not happen without *** spending the time to organize it. I will note thatall of this work was done with no contract, no agreement, and no exchange of money.

After several discussions regarding this potential client *** and I agreed it was taking toomuch time that we were not being paid for, and if the situation continued we would inform Ms. that she would need to get bond service elsewhere.

On April 13th Ms. contacted our office and through the course of conversation againbecame agitated and rude. She was told to find another bond office, to which she replied “NoProblem”. Ms.’s statement that she was told to find another bondsman 2 days prior to thescheduled walk through is incorrect. *** was being released from federal prison inLouisiana on April 15th, after which he was to travel to Tarrant County. It was unclear if Robert*** would need to turn himself in or quarantine for 14 days. Regardless, (4 days or 15 days)Ms. had plenty of time to find a bondsman. It is not aerospace engineering; bail bondingis very straightforward.

As for not returning Ms.’s call, she had been clearly informed to find another bondsman. There is no reason for further communication and we will not spend any more time discussing, researching, or working on *** situation for free.

Ms. does not even have standing to log a complaint. She was never a client, merely aprospective one. There will be no apology. I will, however, offer a “You’re welcome” for thefree work and information.
