This poor gentleman is delusional and was the worst nightmare of a client I have ever come acrossNot only did I get him the exact result that he wanted, in the exact timeframe that he was promised, but I dealt with his obnoxious emailing throughout the processFrom the moment he refused to understand the difference between a boilerplate him/her or Mr./Msform and a substantive error in the legal document, he began a long and exhausting series of emails wherein he did not wait the originally established period of time and repeatedly tried to take credit for every bit of progress that I made, as if he had caused the progress himselfTo top it all off, this whole nightmare client experience stems from a service that I offered for free in which hundreds of individuals used my free form to get felonies reduced to misdemeanorsFor some reason, this gentleman believed he couldn't handle the simple process himself and wanted to hire me for $750, perhaps so that he could torture me with his fixed delusionsIn my opinion, this gentleman owes me an additional $for wasting so much of my time and causing so much grief while I dealt with him as well as multiple instances of online defamation, which I am considering pursuing against himI would be willing to let these additional claims go as this poor guy has enough problems to deal with, but I will never refund a penny of the money that I earned ten times over by dealing with such a difficult person who got exactly the result he wanted and doesn't even realize it

This will be the last time I will be responding to anything regarding this particular personEverything this person says is and stems from a very warped understanding of how the courts work in general and how the court worked (or didn't work) in his particular caseHe has plagued me with hours worth of emails, full of claim after claim, and I refuse to give him another minute of my time after this response.I absolutely never told anyone that this would take a couple monthsIn fact, I repeatedly told this person that the courts had no form ready, had no procedure in place for this type of petition, and could take a long timeThis person's case was particularly difficult for the court to handle, because it was over years old and they had difficulty handling the recordsI did tell him that we would hear "something" within the first two months and we didIn fact, I got the District Attorney to agree not to oppose the motion and to save this ungrateful gentleman $by not requiring a court appearanceThe file then sat with the court for a very long timeThere was some initial confusion with the minutes which I straightened out after lengthy exchanges with the court clerks, wherein they were under the impression that the matter was off calendar because of a failure to appearWhen I finally got everyone on the same page acknowledging that the motion was uncontested with an agreement of no court appearance, the judge granted itThen it sat in the judge's chambers for an ungodly amount of time. This process took many phone calls and several monthsAll the while, this gentleman was pestering me by email with very warped interpretations of what had transpiredHe was also calling the courts, duplicating my effortsBut, he continued to express the belief that he is the one that achieved every step of the resultsAfter he had used up so much of my time with his miserable emails, I eventually just got sick and tired of him and told him so. My website was not a commercial venture in the least, another delusion this gentleman is suffering underIn fact, it was a great gift of work for freeI was a big proponent of Proposition When it passed I made a google document of each of the seven types of petitions that would be necessary and explained how people could use themThis took weeks and I shared it for free as far and wide as I couldA friend with web-design skills appreciated what I was doing so much that he offered to build a website that automated the petitionsHe and I worked on this for weeks and we both did it for freeWe agreed that we would split any donationsDonations totaled less than $200, all in allYet, we both consider it a great success because the last time I checked people had filled out and downloaded our formsI am constantly getting emails from people who used my free petitions and wanted to thank meMany times people contacted me with questions and I directed them on how to do it themselves for freeOnly three or four people wanted to pay me to do it for themThe process has usually taken 4-months, although now there are official forms and the courts can usually do it in 2-monthsAnyway, the idea that this website was a commercial venture is emblematic of the wrongness of the gentleman's factual foundation throughout the processI got this guy exactly what he wanted and spent an exorbitant amount of time doing it and yet, my dealings with him can be summed up best with the phrase, "No good deed goes unpunished." I have hundreds of satisfied clients and a good reputationThis gentleman can continue his ongoing campaign to try to smear me, but my good work stands for itself, and I will not let him take up any more of my time. To top it all off, this whole nightmare client experience stems from a service that I offered for free in which hundreds of individuals used my free form to get felonies reduced to misdemeanors. For some reason, this gentleman believed he couldn't handle the simple process himself and wanted to hire me for $750, perhaps so that he could torture me with his fixed delusions. In my opinion, this gentleman owes me an additional $7500 for wasting so much of my time and causing so much grief while I dealt with him as well as multiple instances of online defamation, which I am considering pursuing against him. I would be willing to let these additional claims go as this poor guy has enough problems to deal with, but I will never refund a penny of the money that I earned ten times over by dealing with such a difficult person who got exactly the result he wanted and doesn't even realize it.

Complaint: 12526025I am rejecting this response because:
 
David J. Pullman was negligent with my petition and negligent in corresponding with me at key points in time. I have placed in bullet points his negligence:
 
·       This attorney was great in answering initial emails from me in anticipation of securing a fee. But once he received his money via PayPal, he was negligent from then on. I never spoke to him on the phone. All correspondence was done through emails. (I have PayPal records proving my payment in advance.)
 
·       I asked him to scan and email me the petition for my records. It is unacceptable for an attorney to refer to his client as a woman in a petition form that is faxed to the court, especially when I am a man. He referred to me as Mrs. Freeman throughout the petition, when I am Mr. Freeman. (I have emails from him, one early on stating that it was an oversight and that he would fix it, and another email jokingly referring to me as Ms. Freeman when I let him know that I was dissatisfied with his performance. He also admits to this “error” as he states it, in one of his responses to the Revdex.com.)
 
·       I decided to carry on with him even after this, and he said it could take two months before we heard anything. Four months went by and I heard absolutely nothing from him. I called the court at this point and found out that we had a court date, and it was missed. I was the one to tell him in email, because of me, he then supposedly called the court to see what happened. It was at this point that he told me about the supposed conversation with the D.A. and that my petition was not going to be opposed, not at the two month period. (He has no such email to me at or anywhere near the two month juncture. He admits in his response to the Revdex.com about the failure to appear missed court date, but it was me to inform him of this in email, not him informing me.)
 
·       He tries to shift blame, but no matter who made the mistake, the court, the District Attorney, the clerk or David J. Pullman himself, he should have given me an update via email not long after the two month period had elapsed. (It is not asking for much for him to email me just after two months to tell me what is going on. It was twice that amount of time when I notified him about the issues with my petition. He has no proof of sent emails around the two month period because he never gave me any update.)
 
·       After six months I emailed him and asked about my petition. But he again says that everything is taken care of and that there is nothing further to do. I wait a couple of more months and not a word from him, so I decide to get proactive. I start dealing with the court clerk on my own. This clerk informed me of several errors in the filing of my petition. Through another few months of following up via phone calls, I was able to make sure the petition and its associated errors were fixed and hastened through the channels to the Judge’s desk.
 
·       When I told him what I had done and how things were progressing I asked him if he would please contact me in a couple of weeks and give me an update, figuring that this petition was almost done. I was trying to give himself a chance to save face. He stated to me, in email, that he would contact me in a couple of weeks and that he would make sure to put it in his planner so that he wouldn’t forget. True to his form, a month goes by and nothing from him again. So I call and get confirmation from the court that the petition is finally successful and notify him. I did and do take credit in an email to him, because I did do the work.
 
·       Finally, nine months later, my petition was finally granted and completed. But, had I just taken his word for it, it would have simply sat with the court attended forever. I planned to submit applications for employment and state that I had a clean criminal history. If I had done so, their background checks would have come back to the contrary, and I would have looked a like a liar.
 
·       No one is perfect, and we all make mistakes and perhaps he was busy with other clients’ cases and could not give mine the proper amount of attention. The fair and reasonable thing to do is to refund the fee for services not rendered. I could and did, forgive him for making errors on my petition paperwork, this is evidenced by me continuing on with him as my attorney. I could have fired him right then and there and sought other avenues to recoup my money immediately. But him not emailing throughout the entire process to keep me informed and assured, that his was doing what he was supposed to do to earn his fee, is unacceptable.
