August - I hired David J [redacted] to pour a rectangular cement pad on my propertyI trusted that J [redacted] would do the work at the acceptable standards of his industryAfter a half day's work, he told me that the form was ready for the concrete to be pouredWe had previously agreed that I would order and pay for the concrete directlySo I looked at his work I was shocked to find: His wooden form was made from pre-used 2x4s laying loosely on top of and along side each otherHis worker had spent time pulling the nails out of the boards while on my property The wooden 2x4s had large gaping holes, up to inches wide so the poured concrete would ooze out of the form if it were poured The height of the form was irregular, unlevel and uneven A thick pile of leaves was in the middle of the rectangle and thinner piles throughout Bricks and cement blocks, which he took from my property, were strewn in piles inside the wooden rectangle Rebar was laid irregularly and resting on the ground within the rectangle Large, long, thick tufts of grass were throughout the interior of the rectangular form When I mentioned to J [redacted] that this work was unacceptable, he said that he would remove some of the leavesAfter he did that, I told him that there is still much more wrong with his workHe argued with me and said that if I wanted it done differently I would have to pay him more money I declined J [redacted] to do any more work for meTo date J [redacted] refuses to reimburse my deposit for his workNeedless to say, I do not recommend Jackson Concrete

August 2016 - I hired David J[redacted] to pour a rectangular cement pad on my property. I trusted that J[redacted] would do the work at the acceptable standards of his industry. After a half day's work, he told me that the form was ready for the concrete to be poured. We had previously agreed that I would order and pay for the concrete directly. So I looked at his work.
I was shocked to find:
1. His wooden form was made from pre-used 2x4s laying loosely on top of and along side each other. His worker had spent time pulling the nails out of the boards while on my property.
2. The wooden 2x4s had large gaping holes, up to 5 inches wide so the poured concrete would ooze out of the form if it were poured.
3. The height of the form was irregular, unlevel and uneven.
4. A thick pile of leaves was in the middle of the rectangle and thinner piles throughout.
5. Bricks and cement blocks, which he took from my property, were strewn in piles inside the wooden rectangle.
6. Rebar was laid irregularly and resting on the ground within the rectangle.
7. Large, long, thick tufts of grass were throughout the interior of the rectangular form.
When I mentioned to J[redacted] that this work was unacceptable, he said that he would remove some of the leaves. After he did that, I told him that there is still much more wrong with his work. He argued with me and said that if I wanted it done differently I would have to pay him more money.
I declined J[redacted] to do any more work for me. To date J[redacted] refuses to reimburse my deposit for his work. Needless to say, I do not recommend Jackson Concrete.
