David McCully Trim Reviews (1)

Mr. [redacted] was recommended by**. [redacted] of[redacted] to repair a leaking shower pan as part of the sale of a home at[redacted] in[redacted]. Based on her endorsement I hired him to renovate the entire bathroom. The work was unsatisfactory and now I have to pay to have the entire job done over. I sent the following summary to both Ms. [redacted] and Mr. [redacted] on**ul 2. Ms. [redacted] doesn't want to be bothered and Mr.[redacted] hasn't responded. Here are my complaints:The toilet was secured to the floor with silicone caulk rather than being bolted. The holes where the bolts should have gone were simply filled in.The vanity was not secured to the wall, nor was the top secured to the base. The sink drain is missing a section of pipe. The hole for the shower head is too large to be covered by the flange. In the process of fixing the new leaks, my plumber discovered that one of the copper pipes was only hand tightened and that the bracket securing the shower controller was bent during the installation process. Additionally, one of the two screws that holds the bracket was stripped. The wood floor in the master bedroom was scratched (your crew set their mitre saw up in the bedroom on their final day of work), and a considerable amount of dried adhesive was stuck to the floor. The shower floor is uneven, and many of the tiles are chipped and uneven. It appears that someone tried to sand some of the tiles in an effort to even the floor, as the edges are rounded and discolored. The shower threshold is chipped. The header to the shower opening sags in the middle. Many of the wall tiles dont fit together squarely or evenly - especially in the corners, and a number of the wall tiles have jagged edges. The hole for the vent fan is larger than the fan itself.I am requesting a refund of $2,045 which represents the amount I spent for materials and labor on a job that must be completely redone.Desired SettlementMy daughter made a partial payment of $1540 and I refused to allow the final payment. I kept receipts for both labor and materials and would like reimbursement for both for a total of $2045. This us my daughter's first house and she doesn't have the funds to pay to have the room done twice.Additional leaks were discovered since the submission of my Jul 2 e-mail. I have additional photos as well.
