David R. Dill Concrete Inc

Review: I purchased a piece of heavy equipment ( roller compactor) from David R. Dill concrete that was described as functional with no leaks. Once I received the compactor I realized that the drive train was not functioning the way it was designed. I looked under the machine and saw 2 hydraulic hoses that had been disconnected. Upon further inspection one wheel hub was missing all the gears that make the wheel turn. I contacted Dill concrete and many apologies were given to me and, I was told they would work with me to resolve the problem. I have called and emailed many times with no response. The one part that is missing is $4000.00 in cost alone.Desired Settlement: I would like to get the machine repaired at Dill Concretes' cost or they can pick-up the compactor and refund me the purchase price.

Thank you for forwarding this complaint to me. This individual, [redacted], purchased a piece of equipment from us and is complaining because it doesn’t have a rear wheel drive. We did not tell him it did because we didn’t know either and he never asked us. When he unloaded the equipment at delivery he did not complain about it not having a rear wheel drive and he would have known at that time if it did or didn’t. The customer inspected the machine at delivery and had all the time he wanted to either accept it or not. We sold him a used piece of equipment that was in working order. There was nothing wrong with it. We told him we had purchased the equipment at a sale and never used it ourselves so we had no knowledge of the history of the workings of the machine. This was all factual information. I tried to work with the purchaser when he complained but he wanted $ 4000.00 from us and that was not a reasonable request. We buy equipment all of the time and I have yet to have anyone I purchased from give me money to fix things that are not the way I want them. He filed a claim in small claims court and we are going to go to court next month. The court will have to make a decision about the outcome of his request.
