I Hired Reese Construction (*** ***) to build a detached garage in August He wanted $5,to begin work I gave him $6, Contract stated the next (final) payment was due upon completion and the construction passing *** inspection Despite this fact, *** *** refused to finish the work (a concrete driveway extension) making it impossible to use the garage for it's intended purpose Knowing I was just about to close on my refinancing, *** *** slapped a lien on my house, enabling him to get paid at closing Afterwards, he still refused to complete the work I ended up paying another company to finish the work that I had already paid Reese Construction to do! Although I successfully sued Reese Construction (which involved more than a year of court red tape), I have not yet received any of the financial compensation To this day, it has not passed *** And Codes' final inspection I also discovered Reese Construction cut corners on the shingling of the roof and it is not up to cade and has to be torn off and re-shingled So, the legal process can begin all over again!
