Revdex.com: I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.] I hired David SCampbell to build a fence, and fix my back deck, so it met city codesWe started the deck in I did not hire anyoneMy ex fiance built it, but our relationship ended before the deck was complete, and he moved back to AlabamaDavid said he would be glad to build a fence and make the deck meet the City of [redacted] codesDavid and I met with the inspector for the city ( [redacted] ) to go over everything that needed to be done to the deckOn 11/01/I gave David a check in the amount of $1,(#1206)$1,was for the down payment on the fence, and the remaining $was for the materials he said he purchased that morning from [redacted] to complete the deckI asked for a receipt, he said he forgot it but would bring it byI have repeatedly asked for the receipt over the past six months and have yet to receive itHe however, did have a guy come by one day and placed new footings on the deckThe check I wrote him on 11/21/for $(#***) was to cover the labor on the deckThe labor included making it up to code, and staining itHe said he needed the paymet up front to pay his employees that were going to the work on the deckI trusted him and gave him the money upfront, and nothing has been done to the deckHe did come by one day with another guy and set most of the fence post, all but twoHe came by on 12/08/and said he needed $to give Dutchway to pay off the fence so they could cut the panelsI said I wasn't comfortable giving him more money when nothing has been done, at this point it's been over a monthThe fence was suppose to be completed by the second week in NovemberHe assured me once again this was the last paymentOn 12/08/I gave him the $checkBy the first week in January nothing has yet to be doneDavid blamed everything on DutchwayI took it upon myself and called DutchwayI spoke with [redacted] and found out he has not given them any money towards the fenceHe has not even paid for the posts in my yard [redacted] said they did come out anad take measurements and were ready to cut the fence [redacted] said they told David they were not cutting the fence until he paid for the posts along with a couple thousand dollars he owes them from a previous jobI spoke with the book keeper, Linda, and she emailed me a letter with my invoice numberIt stated that they have received no money for my jobI emailed over a copy of this letter to Revdex.com on 05/10/There was no additional work that needed to be done to the deck that he was not aware of from the beginningWe both met with [redacted] and he wrote down a list of everything that needed to be doneDavid agreed to it, and to complete it at the price of $There was no additional work that came up after thatI have a paper from [redacted] listing everything that needs to be done, that was agreed uponDavid also has a copy of this paperI will be faxing it over firt thing in the morning Regards, [redacted] ***
