Review: I had bought a 1999 volvo s70 from them a few months ago. Initially they said it were to be inspected by the time I bought it, but ended up taking 3 extra weeks just to inspect it. Once inspected, even though we had a verbal agreement that I would not have to pay anything extra for any parts to pass inspection, they provided me with a bill in which they wanted me to split with them for all their hard work on my car. It was one replacement part for about $550. I was forced to tell them I would pay some of it in order to get my car back from them. Three weeks after I am driving the car around, I notice it shakes a lot and decide to go somewhere to get it checked out. on the way there the car started to drastically shake, and the tire almost fell off on the highway. apparently the bolts weren't tightened enough. four of five bolts snapped and the front tire was held on by one bolt. so far i've now had to replace the wheel hub assembly, the rim, and the axle of the front left wheel. this should have been noticed under an inspection, but instead they apparently pulled other tires in the inspection instead of the one with the issue. now they don't want to talk to me because I apparently owe them $200 which was a fabricated expense for me in the first place. I paid in full for the car, and they said the inspection was included, and anything further would be paid for by them. so I guess I have two complaints. one for falsely advertising that they would pay for repairs, and another for doing a haphazard inspection that led to me almost wrecking on the highway.Desired Settlement: I would like to be able to take the car to a professional garage that could do a legitimate inspection, and David and Sons should have to pay for any repairs that would have been fixed had they given my car a legitimate inspection.
