A couple days after my husband's passing, I had hired Wilson Electric to do a check up on my home's electrical system as well as repair a few broken outletsThe workers came to the house, worked on outlets and checked the attic junction boxesI was told at the time that there were concerns with the junction boxesWithout any further information, the workers left As they left, I inquired about paymentI was told I would be billedA couple days later, I went to use one of the outlets that had been worked on only to find it had never been fixedI called Wilson and spoke to the owner who said they only fixed outlets in the houseI tried to explain that I watched the workers work on outlets and that I was lead to believe all were fixedI was then told by MrWilson that no one would be available to come out until the first of the year (weeks later)Once again, I asked about billing and was told I'd be billed later Not wanting outstanding charges for the work that was done, I called back a couple days later stating that I didn't want this bill hanging out there - especially since only part of the work had been completedThe lady who answered the phone told me I was wrong about what was fixed (even though I watched the workers)When I tried to say what I had seen take place, she became very rude and said I was misunderstood and then hung up on me Still no idea how much I would owe for the outlets that had been fixed or what other problems were still looming in my homeIt would not be until months later that I received a bill for $and a note saying "Please pay now this is very late" - complete with finance charges tacked onIn addition, they discussed my case with another customer and gave details of my homeSeems a little unethical

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.There is nothing that I have tried to hide here, and I don't appreciate the insinuation about being a liar I did try to adjust the light; when I did, it came apart It did not seem to be all that sturdy (it still doesn't), and I did not know how to adjust it properly I have never had a light like this before The installer showed me how to adjust it when he was here, so I assumed I would be able to adjust it on my own After I caused it to come apart, I called the company to ask about it They did come back out and put it back in place, but I never spoke to anyone about this- I looked outside one day and it was done So I still didn't get an explanation about how to adjust- which is fine, that's not the gist of this complaint That was the only time I called and/or they came out for it coming apart, so the allegation that I kept messing with it and wanted them to come out repeatedly to fix it is untrue- it was one time And yes, the light did work when they left- my concern that led to this complaint was why the light was coming on so much at night It wasn't night when they were here, so they would not have seen that I called to ask if there was some adjustment I could do/if they knew of any reason why it was coming on/if this was normal/etc The guy who answered the phone (who I believe is the owner of the business) offered to send someone out to look at it for this issue, I did not even ask for that, and was not necessarily expecting anyone to do that I told him that would be fine and would wait for them to come out When no one had shown up or contacted me about two weeks later, I called to ask for status This is when he said they would not be coming out, they were done I asked if he had planned to advise me of that or if he was just going to keep me waiting- this is when he said I was a "pain in the butt" and hung up on me I was very calm and rational when we were talking, so I don't understand why he would treat a customer who was trying to get some help with a product purchased from his company that way This treatment is why I filed the complaint

been in buisness for over 30 years and to my knowledge this is the only complaint we have had. As you know not everyone tells the truth and I am here to tell you Mr [redacted] did not tell you everything. We did what he asked and the light worked fine BOTH times we were there. We will not refund him or return and work for him again.

The workers came to the house, worked on 3 outlets and checked the attic junction boxes. I was told at the time that there were concerns with the junction boxes. Without any further information, the workers left.

As they left, I inquired about payment. I was told I would be billed. A couple days later, I went to use one of the outlets that had been worked on only to find it had never been fixed. I called Wilson and spoke to the owner who said they only fixed 2 outlets in the house. I tried to explain that I watched the workers work on 3 outlets and that I was lead to believe all 3 were fixed. I was then told by Mr. Wilson that no one would be available to come out until the first of the year (3 weeks later). Once again, I asked about billing and was told I'd be billed later.

Not wanting outstanding charges for the work that was done, I called back a couple days later stating that I didn't want this bill hanging out there - especially since only part of the work had been completed. The lady who answered the phone told me I was wrong about what was fixed (even though I watched the workers). When I tried to say what I had seen take place, she became very rude and said I was misunderstood and then hung up on me.

Still no idea how much I would owe for the 2 outlets that had been fixed or what other problems were still looming in my home. It would not be until 5 months later that I received a bill for $97.95 and a note saying "Please pay now this is very late" - complete with finance charges tacked on. In addition, they discussed my case with another customer and gave details of my home. Seems a little unethical.
