As we have explained to Mr [redacted] : When a customer tells us where they would like us to dig for a goal installation they must inform us of anything they have buried in that locationThis is not only to avoid damage but also for the safety of our employees Mr [redacted] did not inform us verbally or in writing or by flagging or marking that he had anything buried in the location he chose for the installationHad he notified us, the installers would have requested he choose a different locationThis is why the line was damaged We do call a public service which safely marks for public utilities Where a custome has buried anything privately such as a septic finger system, drainage tiles, landscape lighting, private wells, irrigation systems or electronic fences to name a few, we would of course have to rely on the customer to inform us which This is either because he forgot to tell us or he didn't know But, of course, if he didn't know how could we Furthermore, in a situation such as this a customer would normally be charged a new installation charge when the goal anchor needs to be redoneThis would be at least $As a concession of good faith we did not charge Mr [redacted] for the cost to return and redo the work caused by his mistake Respectfully, Brad ***

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID[redacted], and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I was not informed about how deep they were going nor the liability that I was accepting to dig a hole in my yard.  It is Recreation Unlimited's responsibility to do due diligence.  We were not asked to sign off on any risks or liabilities or responsibility for their work.  I cannot accept a professionals responsibility for their damages when I was NEVER educated or informed as to the risk we were taking.  He accepted the risk for all his risk of his work unless I am informed otherwise.  There was absolutely no discussion of risk nor were we asked anything about any buried lines or pipes or any finger systems or wires.   I look forward to Recreation Unlimited  taking full account ability  for their risk they took without informing me.   If this is such a risky thing for them to be doing,  it is their obligation to ensure appropriate precautions are taken  including  a discussion of those risks and acceptance of those risks  BEFORE beginning the project.  THIS WAS NOT ADDRESSED WITH ME OR MY WIFE AS THEY ALLEGE.[redacted]

As we have explained to Mr. [redacted]:  When a customer tells us where they would like us to dig for a goal installation they must inform us of anything they have buried in that location. This is not only to avoid damage but also for the safety of our employees.  Mr. [redacted] did not inform...

us verbally or in writing or by flagging or marking that he had anything buried in the location he chose for the installation. Had he notified us, the installers would have requested he choose a different location. This is why the line was damaged.
We do call a public service which safely marks for public utilities.  Where a custome has buried anything privately such as a septic finger system, drainage tiles, landscape lighting, private wells, irrigation systems or electronic fences to name a few, we would of course have to rely on the customer to inform us which.  This is either because he forgot to tell us or he didn't know.  But, of course, if he didn't know how could we.
Furthermore, in a situation such as this a customer would normally be charged a new installation charge when the goal anchor needs to be redone. This would be at least $300. As a concession of good faith we did not charge Mr. [redacted] for the cost to return and redo the work caused by his mistake.
Respectfully, Brad [redacted]
