I purchased a medium sized freeze dryer a year or two ago, I brought it home and got it all set up. I set a batch of cucumber slices going one evening and went to bed, the next morning when I came to check it the display indicated that the door wasn’t properly sealed. I called Harvest Right and they sent a link to a video on door adjustment, I spent quite a bit of time trying to dial it in but I couldn’t. I am fairly handy so I was surprised I couldn’t do it, I called back and the service guy was very helpful and gave me a few pointers. I worked on it again and couldn’t do it, I tried from time to time but finally gave up out of frustration.
Last month I got an email from the salesman Nick who I had purchased it from, he was checking up to see if I was enjoying the machine and wanted to know what I had tried in it. I told him that I had never used it and explained why, and also told him that I no longer had a vehicle that it would fit in. A few days later I got a call from one of the guys in the service department, he told me one of his guys was going to be in American Fork either Wed.Thur. or Friday and that he would give me a call before he came over. I stuck close to the house for 3 days and no one called or came over.
I emailed Nick and told him that no one contacted me, a few days later a service guy named Alex called me and I explained everything to him. He said that because it was Saturday they had a skeleton crew but he would talk to his supervisor and get back with me. I was never called back, I sent another email to Nick but this time he didn’t bother to respond. Later that week I called Harvest Right and asked if I could talk to a supervisor or someone in charge, they told me he was busy but if I left my number he would call me back. I declined due to the lack of reciprocation in the past.
I know I should have gotten back to them sooner than I did to resolve this issue so I must share the blame, I just have a problem with being told something and not having it happen! Not sure where to go from here.
