David's Construction & Remodeling

I hired David based on a recommendation from a friend. I paid a lot of money, more than I should have but I didn't know better since this was my first time having my house professionally painted.
The workmanship is terrible and shoddy. I have been left with a patchy paint job that I am going to have to pay someone else to fix. I contacted David asking him to come back and fix their mistakes but he never got back to me.
They also painted my ceiling after a water leak and that too has to be redone.

I was overcharged for the service that was quoted and performed. Charged double because two visits were made for paint/sheetrock job.I hired David's construction to repair a hole in sheetrock behind TV and repaint the wall. I was told he would need to do two visits. One for the sheet rock mud/repair and let it dry overnight. The next day he would return and sand and paint. We asked him he would also purchase the paint and we would reimburse him for that. He quoted the job at $75. Which seemed reasonable. On April 29th the fist visit was made and April 30th the second visit. It was a two day job and upon completion, He gave me a price of $150!! He said the price quoted was per visit. This was not told to us in advance. This was a sheet rock job. You have to do it in two visits in order to let the mud dry before sanding. I had to meet David at the bank because I did not have enough on me to pay. I paid him in cash. All conversations about the quote were made with my husband and I could not reach him at work when it was time to pay or he would not have been paid. I was taken advantage of being a woman!Desired SettlementI am seeking a refund of the overcharged amount of $75.
