I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 10580132, and have
determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below

*** Shoring e-mailed me on 4/16/stating "Mr*** had authorized a refund of the requested $650.00, which would be conditional upon your retraction of the Revdex.com complaint." Attached to the correspondence was a "Profit & Loss by Job" spread sheet that neglected to provide the amount charged for the two services provided, as requested many times. Appalled by this attempt to erase any evidence of how they handled this matter, I contacted the Revdex.com on 4/20/to confirm that my complaint would be made available to users of its site. I was assured that it would be and was instructed not to respond to D.Sdirectly but through the Revdex.com. My purpose in contacting the Revdex.com was to place, in the public record, an account of the experience I had with this company. I hope others proceed carefully before hiring *** Shoring. Make sure your bid is itemized prior to signing a contract so that if any part of the work is not performed, the refundable amount is clear. Don't be fooled by the number of years a company has been in business...get multiple opinions on the scope of work you need done. Finally, if you do use *** Shoring, have someone inspect the work before you pay your invoice. I never would have known the work performed was not done to code because I had no intention of crawling under the house; and I wouldn't have known what to look for. Unfortunately, I will now proceed with legal remedies to get my refund

We have reached out to the home owner, Mrs. Hubacheck, via email in an attempt to satisfy the concern.  We are currently waiting for a response from the home owner.

The owner has been provided with a cost breakdown that clearly demonstrates that our cost did exceed the amount that we had received.  We feel the offer of $650 to assist the home owner was more than fair.  At the time of the project, it was expressed that the home owner had the expectation that the entire house was to be brought into level.  This was not, however, realistic according to the contracted work and at that time it was mutually agreedthat the amount received would be accepted for payment in full for the work that was done.

Review: My house was leveled by Davie Shoring in February 2015. The concrete poured in the driveway was inadequate, as agreed by the supervisor. On June 19, 2015, the supervisor promised to have someone rectify the problem.I also requested that someone inspect a problem around other concrete poured on the opposite side of house. I think there is a sinkhole under the concrete. In spite of numerous attempts to have these matters taken care of, nothing has been done. Attempts to contact the supervisor are futile. I also met with the owner of the company to no avail.Desired Settlement: I would like to have someone inspect and repair problems.

Response:

This complaint has now been received and will be sent to a supervisor for review. A supervisor will contact the home owner within 48 hours.

I was very nervous about the process of leveling my home. I didn't have any cracks in my sheetrock, but did have separation at the corners of a number of door and window casings. After the lift which took a total of 3 days, I can say that there were no cracks in the sheetrock and after a week, many of the casings have mostly returned to where they are supposed to be. I appreciated how hard they worked in the heat and the rain, that they spread extra dirt in low spots of our yard, and I was really impressed when the Lift Supervisor was measuring the walls, ceilings, and door frames. I thought they would just check the level of the floor.

I wanted to write this review because my experience with trying to select a company was very stressful. I have widely varying price quotes and even came across a few very shady operations. I really did make the right decision to use Davies.

Review: DS was consulted to identify a conservative approach to level my house. The salesman (TH)mapped elevations and recommended raising the lowest side of the house, only. A floor joist was also to be sistered and a pier replaced. Workers found the referenced joist to be undamaged, but repaired a different damaged joist. They also replaced the pier. However, they told me house could only be lifted about 1 with no benefits seen. TH told workers to do what they could and he would "adjust the invoice." I halted elevation and met with DS manager to discuss. He agreed leveling as contracted wouldn't work. He told worker to repair the break outs in the brick chain wall where jacks had been placed and refund my deposit ($1,162.29). I rejected his generous offer to refund my deposit and suggested we call it even. I asked for an ITEMIZED invoice marked paid but never received one. 2 months later, a different shoring company began work to elevate my house. The pier replaced by DS continued sinking into the ground. Upon inspection, it was found the cinderblock pier was hollow inside (no concrete or rebar)and was placed on a pre-cast 4 thick concrete footing (new footing was poured in place 12" thick). It had no termite shield and was not strapped to the floor joist. I called DS and gave a full account to the receptionist. I asked that DS come out to inspect the pier. 3 days later (TH) called and said he had a good price to offer me to raise the entire house. 5 days later, still no visit from DS, the pier and footing were replaced. I called DS again and was forwarded to (TH) who read me a letter from DS owner stating he stood behind their work product and that the cost of work they performed exceeded the deposit amount that had been received. 2 more requests for an ITEMIZED invoice go unanswered. I forwarded my request to DS owner and (TH) for refund of cost to have their faulty work repaired ($650) along with photographs of the defects and finished work. I have received no response from [redacted] Shoring.Desired Settlement: I want an ITEMIZED invoice, showing cost of each service: the 16' joist and replacement of the pier. I want a full refund for the amount I paid [redacted] for the pier. Because I never got the ITEMIZED invoice I requested multiple times, in an effort to get this resolved, I asked Warren [redacted] for a refund of the cost I paid the new company to re-do the footing and pier; which, I'm sure was less that what I paid DS, because the new company I used only charged $150 to replace a floor joist.

Review: Cracking around the apron of the raised home due to the AC pad being attached to the home which is on pilings and the pad isn't. It has cracked the stucco several times. Twice they fixed the damage but didn't correct the problem expecting a different result. They sent repair people to do the work that didn't understand what I was telling them so they did the same thing over and over.An Engineer friend said the AC pad needed to be detached from the home so when the AC clicked on and vibrated, it wouldn't crack the apron again. I have called [redacted] 4-5 times over the past 12 months to correct it. He called me back after the first call, even came over but did nothing after that. I have since called him 3-4 times with no results. Last call was today with no results. They can't do it the same way each time and expect a different result. That's the definition of Insanity!I am not happy at all. This has been an issue for the past 3 years as the home was completed in late 2010.Desired Settlement: I'd like the AC pad and elevation be brought back a couple inches from the home so it doesn't continue to crack the stucco. I would like [redacted] Davie to come out and look at the problem as it seems no one else has a clue on how to fix it.

Review: Davie Shoring leveld my home in October 2012. I have a Perm Lock Lifetime Foundation Warranty. I recently noticed a crack in my brick so I called Davie to come take a look to evaluate the problem. My first call was June 1, 2015 then 6/3, 6/24 7/7, always told someone would call me back. I spoke usually with Karen who said someone name Shawn would call me. Last call was on hold for Karen 5 minutes, hung up called back and was told she was not in office. Ask to speak to owner, told he was out of country. At this point I'm just asking for someone to come look at the house. It is very disturbing to me when a business I paid thousands of dollars to does not respond or follow-up on my phone calls. They do not deserve any kind of a good rating. I have such a bad feeling about Davie Shoring I don't feel I can even trust them. They certainly will not get a recommendation from me.Desired Settlement: I would like someone to follow-up and come evaluate the problem I called about. I would like to hear from the owner an explanation regarding the conduct and services of his employees in the office.

Regards,

A service person ( Sean) called on Monday July 13, 2015 to say he would be coming by after 5 p.m. He never showed. On Wednesday July 15, 2015 Sean called again to say he was coming around 4 p.m. that day. He showed up about 2 p.m., took some readings. As of today, July 22, we have not heard back from Sean or Davie Shoring. . It took well over a month to get someone to respond to the original call. No excuse. And as you can see, it has already been a week and no one has got back with me regarding the readings taken on July 15th. Davie Shoring's call back response time is unacceptable
