Hired Davie Shoring for a post-lift foundation project at a significant cost — nearly $193,000, paid in full. The work was supposed to follow a permitted structural engineering plan. It did not.
Key steel beams required by the approved plans were never installed. An independent contractor later inspected the existing beams and found them so severely rusted they were nearly compromised. A remediation estimate from a third-party contractor came in at over $26,000 just for the steel work alone. The engineering plans themselves have red annotations marked "Missing" identifying what was skipped.
On top of that, the foundation lift was left uneven — one side of the house required a significant concrete overlay to correct. When this was raised with the company, including during a site inspection attended by one of the principals, nothing was done.
When a follow-up request was made for the company to return and complete the permitted work, principal Chris Ellis responded that the company was "done" and would not be coming back.
Paid $193,000 in full for a permitted foundation lift. They cashed my deposit check, never heard from them and when I called they couldn't give me a date. Salesman said it would not be a problem if we had to cancel due to insurance not paying. When I cancelled nobody told me it would be a charge. They never gave me copy of my contract, only sent me partial refund charged me $616.00 with no explaination. Refusing to give me my contract or explaination. Stealing from people that have lost everything already from Hurricane Ida! Owner never responded to my emails.
