This complaint comes as a shock to
me as I thought Mrs*** *** and I had a good working relationship. I really enjoyed working with her and was
impressed with the work my company did for her.
DaVinci Contracting was able to work with a difficult insurance company
to approve Mrs*** with a brand new roof, full siding replacement, and a
newly painted 180-foot privacy fence installationAll of which she was
initially denied for by said insurance challenging companyMrs*** home
truly looks like a standout home by comparison
I would like to point out that I am
a contractor who mainly deals with roofing, siding, & gutters but I thought
I would extend my services and do a favor to help Mrs*** with a new fence
that she desired. I now realize, after
numerous complaints and constant judgment from her and her daughter about the
fence, I should have listened to the fence company’s complaints about how
difficult it was to work for this family
The real complaint from Mrs***
was about the paint on the fence. We are
not the fence companyI just helped her to find a good fence cothat would do
the work for what her budget allowedShe expected a natural cedar fence to be
red so she wanted me to paint the fence a deep red shade, which I supplied for
her. When the color did not meet her
expectations, I offered to paint the fence for her at material and labor cost
to get her what she wantedThis was a mistake on my part as Mrs*** was
becoming more difficult each time I met her and her daughter, Her daughter seemed
to be there true culprit of any dis-satisfaction she was able to findMrs
Sharp was unsatisfied with the paint job, so I called the painter to tell him
to fix what the issues were
I have personally been to her home
15-times in the last yearSome of those trips were to act as a mediator
between her & her daughter and the Fence Coto try to better everything
she (& her daughter) did not find just right. I never saw any paint on her trashcans; they
are oversized city trashcans that were all marked up beforeI informed her
about the paint that splattered on her sidewalk and she said was that was ok
She also knows that I have plans to be back this Spring to remedy
further issues… The snow has only
recently melted and the weather is just becoming suitable to work outside inThis
complaint was made prior to receiving so much as a phone call
As for her mail slot, I replaced
the faceplate on it, not the entire mail slotSo her issues would be with the
original installationThe mail slot was never insulated and is no different
then what it wasIt just has a new shiny faceplateShe stuffed the towels in
itI would never take advantage of a senior citizen as Mrs*** is so rudely
insinuating. We have had over senior
customers that have never complained about our services.
Many of our services were done as a
favor and without a contract for Mrs*** and her daughter, and I feel that
our work was unappreciated and that she persistently found faultAll of the
items (besides the possible lifted shingles) were provided as a favor and without
contract to a nice older lady that I really enjoyed working for (initially) and
they were done at no profit, only at costIt is a shame that goodwill can come
to tarnish your relationship or worse ones professional reputationWe try to treat everyones home as if it was our own and only make recommendations accordinglyOften sacrificing profit for quality
