Davis Automotive Group Reviews (12)

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below The mileage was wrong in several places just because they said they corrected their records to make mileage make more sense does not take away the facts that the car's mileage appears higher than what I purchased it at several times in the history of the vehicle during the seven months it was in their possession It appears as though the mileage was put below and kept below 25,to maintain a resale value They keep saying they corrected their records, but the bigger question is why were the records ever wrong I should not have to question the true mileage when buying any car never mind a certified pre-owned vehicle Since Davis Auto Group was negligent of tracking the mileage or of changing the mileage while the car was in their possession for months I would like to return the car for a full refund so I can go buy a different vehicle that I can be certain what the mileage is Regards, [redacted] ***

*** *** has been reimbursed the she paid for the oil change, and a milage key punch error that occured during a service visit from the previous owner of the car, has been corrected with BMW*** *** is eligable and will recieve the remainder of her free maintinance left on her car

I was on the phone today with Service Manager [redacted] at Davis Auto Group in Solon, OH trying to get an oil change on my car.  He stated that it did not need an oil change because it was done on April 24, 2014 at 26,079 miles.  I was looking right at my purchase...

agreement and said that can't be possible you sold it to me on 9/20/2014 with an odometer reading of 24,458.  I asked him to immediately fax me over a copy of the service history where it says 26,079.  I knew that this was unlikely to happen because if he committed fraud once he would do it again and he tried.  He e-mailed me a copy of service history and since my conversation with him a half an hour ago he changed the mileage in his service paperwork from 26,079 to 24,079 on page one. Before when I spoke with him he told me the mileage on April 24th was 26,079.  Luckily for me he was not careful enough to change it everywhere, if you look on page 6 the mileage is at 24,546 on May 14, 2014. I purchased the car in September at 24,458.  It is obvious that this car came into the dealership than more miles than it was sold to me at and floated around that dealership for seven months with the mileage being rolled back possibly several times.  Not only did they roll back the mileage but then when they were verbally caught at it they tried to change the paperwork again to cover it up.

Customer statement wasn't true. It was absolutely our mistake refunding the tax. We waited for any kind of payment arrangements and didn't receive a response. Customer wanted me to discount the amount and I told her I would have but it was tax due, not a productStatement

The mileage was wrong in several places just because they said they corrected their records to make mileage make more sense does not take away the facts that the car's mileage appears higher than what I purchased it at several times in the history of the vehicle during the seven months it was in their possession.  It appears as though the mileage was put below and kept below 25,000 to maintain a resale value.  They keep saying they corrected their records, but the bigger question is why were the records ever wrong.  I should not have to question the true mileage when buying any car never mind a certified pre-owned vehicle.  Since Davis Auto Group was negligent of tracking the mileage or of changing the mileage while the car was in their possession for 7 months I would like to return the car for a full refund so I can go buy a different vehicle that I can be certain what the mileage is.

Premiumm package. The 2011 XF does come with scheduled maintenance as part of the new vehicle warranty. In discussing the maintenance provided, our associate told the client that a tire rotation was included as part of this maintenance agreement. We are sorry for any confusion that may have occurred, but we will honor the original agreement we made with the client, but cannot provide a new set of tires. Best,[redacted]General Sales ManagerLand Rover Solon/Jaguar Cleveland

Company responded by phone 11/16/15-[redacted]Mr. [redacted] states that they repaired the consumer car and that the consumer has received his car back.

Hello,After reviewing the documentation, we have agreed to refund the $1,500 charge and we apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused the consumer.  This was clearly a miscommunication internally and we will take corrective actions to prevent future situations.  I appreciate your...

Below is the response that I have to Davis Automotive Group.Thank you.  The dealer failed to address the problem with the brakes and the rotors. They sold a car that went through their so called 150 point inspection and they missed it. This is a big safety problem for anyone but that dealership.  I strongly disagree that advertising the car on their own web site as “PREMIUM LUXURY PORTFOLIO EDITION!”  could be passed as a typo. Also in the Buyers Order the car trim is listed as Portfolio.  During the buying processes when [redacted] was asked why this car and the other black 2011 Jaguar XF they had in stock  were the most expensive among all 2011 XF CPO models in the 250 mile radius he claimed because those two were Portfolio and the rest weren’t. There were four separate conversations with the sales manager [redacted] about the tires. He initially offered an used set of tires which we were reluctant to accept. After the second conversation I got a voice mail (that I still have on my phone) from [redacted], asking what size we need for our car. My husband went to the dealership but there [redacted] told him that the offer about the used tires is not valid because only the original owners of 2011 XF Jaguars were entitled to a free set, a mistake that probably [redacted] made during the sale.

As of today, BMW Cleveland has come to a satisfactory agreement with [redacted] and repurchased her car.She is happy with this resolution.
