We resolved the issue with Ms*** this morning as soon as we recieved an email from her inquiring about her claim. We spoke to her a few moments ago and she assured me she would call you and let you know her problem is settled. Sun Ray Cleaners has a claims policy that is second

At Sun Ray Cleaners we strive to provide our customers with excellent quality and customer service at a fair price. We process over 300,garments a year and with that quantity there will be an occasional mishap. Our claims policy, as stated on our receipt, is that we pay a maximum
of times the cost of cleaning for a garment. The cost of cleaning Mr***'s shirt was $2.65, therefore the maximum we should pay him according to our policy is $26.50. For goodwill, we offered Mr*** a cash offer of $based on the purchase price, purchase date, condition of the shirt when it was brought in, and current value of the shirt. We actually found the shirt on sale for $on November 15, just before we made him the offer. Mr*** refused that offer, demanding full purchase price. We went above our policy to try to satisfy Mr***, offering him more than we were obligated to. Mr*** refused the cash offer of $and that offer still stands. We think we have offered him a fair settlement outside of our policy

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolvedHowever, this incident proves that there are surely many more incidents like this to followI recommend that management consider having more than one personnel working at this particular locationAlso, ensure that store/company policy is being followedI have noticed that after the associate intake of articles that items are being left on the counter for long periodsWhen I did visit the store to receive my reimbursement for my articles being lostI noticed articles on the counter that appeared to be that of my spouses that he mentioned he turned in to the store at approximately 3:30pmI entered the store at approximately 4:Also, the associate failing to annotate the appropriate type service requested on the ticket by the customer such as light starch or heavy starchThis causes a breach of agreement between Sun Ray Cleaners and what the customer has requestedThis also causes an inconvenience to the consumer/customer coming to the store to pitheir itemsCustomers are only obligated to pay for what they have requestedI highly recommend adding an additional personnel or hiring an associate that takes pride in their jobGood customer is what makes a business continue to be successfulThere are many independent small cleaners that may not offer all the services Sun Ray does, but their great customer service and concern for their customer items is what sets them apart and place them above the bigger business's here in Columbus, Georgia

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
On the date that the $40 offer was made I did indeed see the shirt on the Men's Warehouse website for $41.99 but they did not have the shirt in my size on that date (slim fit, 15 34/35).  I've looked on the website again today and they still do not have my size in that exact shirt.  The closest shirt in my size is $69.99 (the sale is off) and I will settle for that much in cash.  As mentioned previously, my shirt that Sun Ray Cleaners ruined and then tried to cover up by stitching up the rip, was practically brand new as I had only worn it two or three times. I don't have the receipt but I know I paid about $80 for the shirt at the Men's Warehouse here in Columbus.  Please also keep in mind that this was the third shirt that they ripped in just a few months.  The right thing for Sun Ray Cleaners to do is to replace my shirt or provide me with the correct amount of cash so that I can replace it.

I have included a detailed letter I sent out to [redacted] and tried to explain to her on many phone calls and our visits to her home. I spoke to her son the other day and he understands that we have only tried to help his mother and he said he was going to call in and remove the complaint. The customer only paid for a motor replacement, capacitor for the motor, condensate pump and two pounds of refrigerant on the upstairs system. This was the first call we performed for air conditioning while the house was being rented and controled by the management company. The problem she has now is a heating problem{ warter leak{ and has nothing to do with our repair in september. I repaired her downstairs furnace by replacing the pump at my cost, this is a totaly different system than we worked on and I did the repair for free. The three systems in the house a in very poor shape and need replacing. I have done all I can for [redacted] and have spent hundreds of dollars at n/c to her just trying to help her. The attached letter should show all details that we went out of our way to help her and she will not take any advice, or pay for any repairs.
