I received nothing but outstanding service from the gentleman that fixed my heaterDuring the big snowstorm on January 23, I was trying to get the snow off my heat pumpI must have torn a wire from the bottom which automatically caused a fuse to blow triggering not just my heat pump but the heater to shut downThus, I had no heat, including the emergency backupI was desperate to get this fixed as soon as possible and called many other heating and cooling companies the next dayAll said due to their work load they were unable to come out for at least a couple of daysThat is with the exception of Davis, who understood my dilemma and said that they would do their best to come out sometime during the day, if not later onActually I was quite surprised to see Davis’s truck pull up after that evening because I was sure it was hard for them to come out at all due to so many calls they must have had that dayAs I opened the door I was thinking I was going to get charged a large bill because of being in the evening and on the weekendI was quite surprised when I was only charged $for the service call! The service technician was nothing more that courteous to me as he was getting my system up and runningMy little dog kept going over to himI didn’t want her bothering him so I called for to her to get awayI was surprised when he said it was OK and picked her up and kissed herI am sure that wasn’t part of the serviceLOL If you are interested in getting great repair work or installation, and at an unbelievable price by a skilled technician I highly recommend Davis! They are now my new heating/cooling service company! THANK YOU Davis!!

I am rejecting this response because:I appreciate your quick response during this matterSince we already had our home warranty company come out and fix the issue and put in a new plateI would like to compromise, since Davis will not coiver the cost of a new boilerWould Davis be willing to give us a discount on a new system to be installed sometime next year (2016)? This will in turn make us happy because it will remove the old system that was not repaired correctly, and thus Davis will not have to pay for a full system replacementWe would like to keep our attorney out of this if possible as that is a hassle for everyoneI have otherwise heard nothing but great things about Davis so you can imagine that this leaves a bad taste in the mouth that we would like to rectify.

I spoke to my estimator about Mr. [redacted] vehcile and he told me that the issues were absolutely stone chips and not peeling paint. Please keep in mind we paint about three thousand vehicles a year. We have not had any come back for peeling paint. We here at Maaco of Delran take extra steps to make...

sure we apply the proper products and procedures to make sure this does not happen. It is very important to us to deliver a quality product. Mr [redacted] did admit to us that he travels about one hundred miles per day on the highway. This would absolutely be the cause of the stone chips. We do work for limo companies that do alot of highway travel and their cars are riddled with stone chips across the hood and front bumper. It is the nature of the beast driving excessive miles on the highway. Also, it is important to point out the Mr. [redacted] chose an economical paint service that does not have a seperate application of clear coat over the paint to help with protection from stones. However, it is a very good product and has tremdous value for the cost. To duplicate a factory finish product with the seperate application of clear coat over the paint, the cost would of been about four time what Mr. [redacted] spent. We do take this complaint very serious and will reach out to Mr. [redacted] to try to come to a resolution.Sincerely,[redacted]Owner

To whom it may concern; As the engineer for Davis Modern
Heating & Cooling, Kim D[redacted] has asked me to investigate the complaint (ID#
[redacted]) as to its validity.  As a background, the Borough of
Norristown requires that a registered heating professional inspect the  heating...

equipment in the building prior to
change of ownership or each year if the building is being rented as a
residence.  The inspection (heater
certification) requires that the contractor check the system to make sure it’s
operation is in a safe manner and that electric or mechanical controls
that are designed to shut down the system automatically are in operational condition.  This inspection is not to be
construed in any way as a recommendation that the system is efficient or will
provide service for any length of time.
On June 25, 2015 Our Service
Technician inspected and tested the safety controls of this heating system and
found them in working order.  The
Technician also ran an electronic analysis of the flue gasses (CO, CO2, O2,
flue temp. etc.) and found the boiler to be within the limits of a safe
boiler.  Additionally there is no detectable
carbon monoxide in the basement or occupied areas of the house.  The numbers provided by the
instruments confirm that the chimney is drafting properly and the boiler –
although very old, is operating safely.  We
do have the printed read outs to confirm this. For heater inspections we are
hired by and are working for the current owner of the home.  We are hired to provide an honest and fair
report of safety condition only on the day of inspection.  Please understand, it would be in
our interest if we found something wrong with this boiler that would cause it
to not pass the safety inspection.
As most likely we would be hired by the current owner to replace the
boiler before the home could go to settlement. Condemning this boiler would have
been in our interest, but honesty is a big part of our being in business for
over 165 years and having the trust of our customers is the most important
service we provide.
We do understand the
disappointment that **. [redacted] feels, however she had an independent home
inspector conduct an inspection of the entire home before the closing and that agency
([redacted]), in the written home inspection report by [redacted] (the inspector) provided detailed pictures and comments as to the
overall condition of the boiler and recommended that this boiler should be
replaced.
Please note! [redacted] made
recommendations as to the overall condition and NOT the safety of this
boiler.  Ms. [redacted] should have taken his
advice into consideration before purchasing the property.
I during my investigation I have
found the service that Davis Modern provided to the former owner, of this property on June 25, 2015
to be proper in every way.  As a result of this investigation
I have to deny any obligation of wrong doing or the payment of $ 4,000.00 to **. [redacted].  James R[redacted] Mechanical EngineerDavis Modern Heating & Cooling

I am rejecting this response because: Ive done my research, my invoice says I received the presidential package with a clea coat protective coverage. as the website stated, " the presidential package is "durability plus catalyzed enamel. We paint the exterior with a material that is more resistant to environmental chemicals, weather chemicals, weather extremes and tough road conditions. Enanced performance with great value." Hence why I went back to this location to play stupid to see what they would say and offer to fix my problem. the quote is $350 just to repaint the hood and bumper. and thats if he doesnt charge for prep work. how can I have received this "presidential package" for tough road conditions if one freaking pebble bounces off and chips a nickle sized chip on the first bounce.
