Review: On 8/**/12 I placed an order for a Remington rifle that was not in stock. I was asked to leave a deposit of $200, which I paid using a credit card.
After numerous phone calls to your store over the course of one year inquiring about the status of the order I visited the store personally. The gentleman at the gun department was very friendly, showed me the log of the inquiries the store made regarding the rifle and in fact again looked at the wholesalers’ inventory. He concluded that there was essentially no hope of getting this rifle anytime soon due to current market conditions and manufacturing priorities. I reached the same conclusion after waiting for a year. Given the situation that store was unable to obtain the rifle after an entire year, he directed me to the register to ask for my deposit and that is when the problems started.
The person at the register stated that there was no record of my deposit in his computer, even though I had the credit card receipt, the register receipt and a printed account receipt. He informed me that only the “[redacted]” will be able to resolve this issue. He copied the paperwork and assured me that I would receive a call in 2-3 days. That never happened. I called and asked for the [redacted], she told me that only [redacted] deals with deposits and refunds. I tried to reach [redacted] with no luck.
On 9/2013 I sent a letter with the above info and copies of the relevant documents attached. No response was ever received.Desired Settlement: I would like to get a refund of the $200 deposit as the business failed to deliver the product and stated that the product wouldn't be available.
I would prefer of course to get the product I ordered if the business can obtain it immediately.
