In November Mrs*** called us to check her roof due to leaksI told her it needed to be replaced due to numerous problemsIn July Mr*** called us to check his roof due to leaksI told him it needed to be replaced due to
numerous problemsHe told me his wife was ill and could not afford it at this timeHe said several roofers had been out but nobody would give him an estimateEvery roof penetration on the roof along with the skylights had been caulked excessivelyEven a large area on the roof had been caulked on every single jointThe plywood around the skylights is warped due to moisture
I told him the only thing we can do for him without replacing the entire roof is to systematically eliminate leaksWe would start with the penetrationsThe next step would be to contact our skylight representative to inspect the skylightsWe submitted a proposal and performed the work as agreed uponA few days after the work was completed we had a day of rainMr*** called our office and told us his roof leaked again and he had $1,worth of damageThe next day we came out with a tarp and covered the skylightsMr***'s leaks had ceasedWe had several more days of rain without incidentWe made an appointment with the skylight representative as promisedThe representative said the skylights were outdated, a poor design, and had issuesNew units would have to be custom-madeMr*** told the representative and myself he hadn't had any leakage since the tarp had been installedHe then said he was not interested in new skylights and wanted me to "fix his roof"We were not going to add more layers of caulk on the skylights and inherit the existing problemsAt that point there was nothing more we could doWe are seeking payment in full for the repairs and the return of our tarp and packages of shinglesEnclosed is documentation and photos

This is in response to a letter from B.B.Bdated 11/23/Due to health matters I was unable to respond sooner
I am disputing that the claim I brought against Dawson Roofing has been resolvedHere are my issues:
Dawson Roofing was hired to repair a leak in my roof surrounding my sky lights, his company failed to do this
Mr*** instead sent workers to install new vents on my roof, there was nothing wrong with my existing ventsThey did not even fulfil their contract by painting the vents they put in
3.One of the vents they installed leaked badly during the recent stornms and has caused additional damage to my home
Within one week of his installation of new vents the roof leaked in the same area, when he was called initially Mr*** and a worker came over and put tarp and some shingles over the sky lights which also covered the flashing, no more leaks! Shortly after this he came to my home with a friend in the sky light business, who informed me I need a new sky which could cost uup to $15,My existing sky lights are roughly years old, I questioned the need for new sky lightsI told him I didn't agree with their findings, he said he would resolve the roof problem for me
In roughly a month and a half my wife and myself called his office times and he never returned our callA Ferguson city inspector informed me the tarp was on the roof for too long and I would be fined by the city if not removed within a reasonable time
I wrote him a registered letter asking to return andfulfill his contractI received a letter from his attorney/daughter not to contact her Dad again
I have since dealt with a reputable roofing company and my leak has been repaired without new sky lightsI am enclosing a copy of the billI gladly would recommend this company to any one needing services by a rooferPertaining to any roofing materials left behind I personally helped remove his tarp and shingles which I have no use forBy being forced to do this I caused additional damage to my lower backAt years of age and I hope beng a decent person all the stress of dealing with Mr*** has certainly caused many issues for me to deal with that has taken a toll on myself and my wife
I am also enclosing a picture of how Dawson Roofing left my home
