Review: **.[redacted] gave us an estimate of $100/- to install siding on a property. He was paid $800/- on 30th Aug 2013 as advance and the job was supposed to be finished in over the weekend. The work never started and **.[redacted] started giving reasons after reasons to avoid the task he was paid for. After a lot of followup, he delivered some materials (Which we think is not sufficient) and also signed a contract on 25th Sep 2013. The deadline to finish the work was Oct 10th. Again he did not show up neither did he call. I have repeatedly called him but never got him on line, Except when I called him from my landline. He mentioned that its raining and thus will be there as soon as the rain was gone. Until now, he has failed to show up and finish the job.Below is the contract which we have singed.Independent Contract AgreementThis Independent Contractor Agreement (herein the Agreement) is made as of Sep 25, 2013, by and between [redacted] & [redacted] (herein Company), Dawson Rv Construction LLC (herein Contractor) which is hereby incorporated by reference.For valuable consideration, the receipt and adequacy of which are hereby acknowledged, the parties hereto agree as follows:1.Description of Services.Take down existing Siding (front & back), Soffits, Gutter, & rotten Fascia, replace them with new. Work Items:SidingoRemove existing siding from front and back.oReplace with new Clay Color Siding.SoffitsoRemove existing Soffits.oReplace with breathable soffits.Gutter, Fascia and DownspoutoRemove existing Fascia.oReplace with new Fascia, Gutter and connect it to existing Downspout.2.Compensation.In consideration for the services to be performed by Contractor, the Company agrees to pay the sum one thousand ($1000), paid based on the following payment schedule:$800.00 paid as of 30th Aug 2013;$200.00 paid after the job is completed satisfactorily; 3.Deadline.Contractor agrees to substantially complete the above task no later than Oct 10, 2013. For each additional day past this deadline, Contractor shall pay Company twenty dollar ($20.00) fee, to be deducted from the final payment from Company. Contractor agrees and acknowledges that such payment is not meant to penalize Contractor, but is a reasonable estimation of the damages Company will suffer due to such delay. As per the verbal contract done on Aug 30th the work was expected to be complete no later than 2 weeks.
