We had just purchased a house with a two year old A//C unit. Since we weren't sure how well the unit was maintained we purchased one of Day Advanced Air Conditioning's $49.99 central A/C inspection and tune-up specials. [redacted] (mother-in-law) bought a maintenance service but she really...

needed a duct inspection. We agreed to come out for $49.00 to Fountain Hills to inspect the duct system at the $49.00 charge. My brother [redacted] went out with the install team who does the duct work. They were going to fix it if required so the construction product could continue. We did a quick unit check free of charge as a curtesy. Mr. [redacted] had lots of questions, so my brother answered them. He did not want to contract with us. He was going to fix everything himself.Day Advanced Air Conditioning showed up on time.We showed up on at [redacted] address on the scheduled time. This was a complete time waster for us since. We went to her mom’s house because this is the address that was on file from [redacted] d through the [redacted] account. Upon figuring out the mess, we then drove to the [redacted] son [redacted] and daughter-in-law /[redacted] home. We had to wait an hour for [redacted] to get home. Three guys waiting to do a duct inspection for $49.00.and did what we thought they were supposed to do. We thought it interesting that they showed up with three guys. Again this was supposed to be an underground return so we sent 2 installers and a supervisor ready to crawl under their home and fix any problems. We were efficient and expedient! While they were here they did mention that they thought we didn't have enough air return but didn't [redacted] asked my brother [redacted] were he could buy the materials to fix the drain. [redacted] was given our suppliers information at Air Cold Webb to purchase the parts and do the repairs.say much else because they were going to email us the results of their inspection.A written report was left with customer. We have copy on file. [redacted] told my [redacted] he was going to do the work. A quote was not required.Husband was informed at visit that the P-trap was not installed properly. The complete AC system was not installed properly by another contractor. We are not responsible for their equipment failure. The P-trap needed to be fixed. And filters changed monthly. He did not want to pay us to fix the problem. He was going to fix it himself. It's five months later and we still haven't received an email from them.About three months after their inspection we found a huge water puddle next to our air handler.Customer admitted they did not change the air filter all summer and with all the construction debris plus not fixing the problem professionally they had an obvious water problem. The puddle was so big it flooded onto our daughter's new bedroom carpet. Before the flood came wasn’t there obvious signs of a problem? Where is the customers responsibility here? We called our home warranty company and they sent out their AC company to fix our AC.The other AC company said the condensation drain line was clogged and needed to be cleaned. It ran three months without changing the filter during summer and construction. We see this type of failure all the time. They also said that whoever installed our AC and air handler did the worse job they had ever seen.It was a terrible installation by another company (sorry to repeat). Why not go after the other company? They wanted to spend thousands on the remodel and $49 on underground inspection so they could move walls. They needed an expert opinion on the underground duct and moving walls and they did not take our advice. The other AC company said that there was not a filter base so there was no way to change our air filter, they said that even if there was a filter base we still wouldn't be able to change our filter because the condensation line was in front of where the filter base should go, and our AC unit was 1 ton too small for our house (among many other things). [redacted], said it was a very bad install and the system had to many issues. The customer was not interested in paying to having them fixed professionally. We decided to get a second opinion so we decided to have another AC company check out our AC unit/air handler. The company who gave us a second opinion said the same exact thing as the company that fixed our leak.Frustrated that we can't get the mildew smell out of our daughter's new carpet I decided to call Day Advanced Air Conditioning to see why they didn't clean the condensate line when they were here or notice all of the issues I had with my AC unit. The guy on the phone told me that the service I paid for only checks to see if my AC unit runs to the manufacture's specifications. This is not correct. She blind called us in September and asked what our maintenance includes. We have three maintenance levels, which again was irrelevant because we were hired to do duct inspection. I expected them to check my air filter, clean my condensate line, you know, tune-up type of stuff. Apparently that's not what a tune-up is to them. Since they sent three guys to do an inspection and tune-up I'm guessing they had hoped to do more to my AC unit. We offered to fix the units and they declined. Not sure why they couldn't have cleaned out the condensate line.Desired Settlement: I want them to refund my money as well as pay to have the padding in my daughter's room replaced. We have cleaned it about five times and on humid/wet days my daughter's carpet smells like mildew. We've contacted a couple of carpet guys and they have said that the smell won't go away unless the padding is replaced. In summary:[redacted] hired us to do an underground duct inspection for construction purposes. Not Maintenance! The customers did not want us do fix the work. They were going to handle the repairs themselves. They did not change their filter all summer. Return was in inadequate. Condensate installed incorrectly. They wanted to save money. DIY!We feel this customer has slandered our reputation across the web. [redacted] tried coercion on the phone to get what she wanted. She was rude and unreasonable. We feel we went above and beyond for this customer!

Steve and his team have been tremendous help to us while we lived in AZ and still today from afar. We moved out of state but still have properties in AZ. So great to have a trustworthy company to call when the AC needs repair or replacement. They are quick to respond, completed work thoroughly and have great follow up.

Hi. My name is Jesus B. I used to work for a company that used to Own and Manage Commercial/Industrial Property in the Valley of the Sun. I've known Steve D**, as a president and owner of Day Advanced Air Conditioning Company for eight years and along with his brother Dave and a team of AC experts perform a really good job together. Day Advanced Air Conditioning used to handle and took care of every AC problems we used to have for all of our four properties. That was the main reason that made me think that I could use him for my own house; so I did. He installed a brand new unit at my house he also updated and improved the ductwork to the entire house including an extra air return in the master bedroom, making every room in the house comfortable. Therefore I really do recommend Day Advanced Air Conditioning to all my friends and to everyone. Thanks Steve.

8 years ago I had Steve D[redacted] company come out to quote a new A/C unit. He was one of three I interviewed.

He was the most thorough and educated me on why he recommended what would be most cost savvy unit for my home. He reviewed the way my home was designed was taken in to consideration for the most efficient use. He made those changes and my home it has been very energy efficient and reliable over the 8 years.

I trust him and his professional expertise to keep my home cool all summer long.

That is very important to me.

Let me start by saying I am a very thorough shopper, especially when it comes to large purchases. We had the need to replace our aging A/C unit. I met [redacted] at a local home builder show, and spend time discussing how to go about selecting a new unit, how to solve some issue with hotter rooms, etc. Through my research every knowledgeable resource I spoke to said "Find someone that understands design and HVAC engineering so its designed right" - after speaking with [redacted], it was clear that he has that skill. I spent a year researching my choice, and went back to [redacted] to select our new unit and arrange installation, and some slight modifications to our duct work to solve those issues.

Installation day arrived - everything went as promised. The Day Advanced Air crew was amazing, pleasant, did great work, and when they encounter an issue (my former unit was installed backwards) they had to spend extra time to rework the electrical. I would have never known, but they did the right. [redacted] (Owner) was onsite several times that day to ensure everything was to spec.

My unit was installed in Feb '15, and I just called [redacted] last week after a week of 110+ days to say how pleased we are with the work and new unit.

[redacted] and his crew are the type that go the extra mile to help customers, they have great contacts at the manufactures to get answers if its needed, and with the small tweaks made to our venting a problem area in our home was solved (Yea!) I would absolutely recommend.

[redacted] day is the consummate professional. We originally had him out in the summer of 2013 to fix a disconnected drier vent pipe and a plugged condensate line from the 18-year-old air conditioner. We were so impressed with his work and knowledge of HVAC systems we began discussing what we could do to improve our level of comfort.
In 2014 Trane came out with a highly efficient heat pump that uses a variable speed compressor that can vary its speed between 40-100% and we chose this option. We also wanted to remove the flex duct that had been squashed flat by television cabling running every direction in our attic and replace it with hard pipe insulated to R8. This was a difficult proposition as we have a vaulted ceiling and there was limited space in the attic in which to work.
[redacted], his brother [redacted], and the crew of [redacted] and [redacted] always had a positive attitude. The quality of their work was exceptional. There were never any additional charges even though they needed 1 extra day to complete the installation. They took their time to do the job right the first time.
The XV20i [redacted] installed has a 12 year limited warranty on the compressor. [redacted] also will come out every year for the first 5 years to inspect the system at no additional cost to us. He never tried to sell us a service contract. He only wants to ensure that the systems they install work correctly and are properly serviced.
It is nice to have the peace of mind that comes with Trane quality, and the service provided by Day Advanced Air Conditioning.
