We had just purchased a house with a two year old A//C unitSince we weren't sure how well the unit was maintained we purchased one of Day Advanced Air Conditioning's $central A/C inspection and tuspecials [redacted] (mother-in-law) bought a maintenance service but she really needed a duct inspectionWe agreed to come out for $to Fountain Hills to inspect the duct system at the $chargeMy brother [redacted] went out with the install team who does the duct workThey were going to fix it if required so the construction product could continueWe did a quick unit check free of charge as a curtesyMr [redacted] had lots of questions, so my brother answered themHe did not want to contract with usHe was going to fix everything himself.Day Advanced Air Conditioning showed up on time.We showed up on at [redacted] address on the scheduled timeThis was a complete time waster for us sinceWe went to her mom’s house because this is the address that was on file from [redacted] d through the [redacted] accountUpon figuring out the mess, we then drove to the [redacted] son [redacted] and daughter-in-law / [redacted] homeWe had to wait an hour for [redacted] to get homeThree guys waiting to do a duct inspection for $49.00.and did what we thought they were supposed to doWe thought it interesting that they showed up with three guysAgain this was supposed to be an underground return so we sent installers and a supervisor ready to crawl under their home and fix any problemsWe were efficient and expedient! While they were here they did mention that they thought we didn't have enough air return but didn't [redacted] asked my brother [redacted] were he could buy the materials to fix the drain [redacted] was given our suppliers information at Air Cold Webb to purchase the parts and do the repairs.say much else because they were going to email us the results of their inspection.A written report was left with customerWe have copy on file [redacted] told my [redacted] he was going to do the workA quote was not required.Husband was informed at visit that the P-trap was not installed properlyThe complete AC system was not installed properly by another contractorWe are not responsible for their equipment failureThe P-trap needed to be fixedAnd filters changed monthlyHe did not want to pay us to fix the problemHe was going to fix it himselfIt's five months later and we still haven't received an email from them.About three months after their inspection we found a huge water puddle next to our air handler.Customer admitted they did not change the air filter all summer and with all the construction debris plus not fixing the problem professionally they had an obvious water problemThe puddle was so big it flooded onto our daughter's new bedroom carpetBefore the flood came wasn’t there obvious signs of a problem? Where is the customers responsibility here? We called our home warranty company and they sent out their AC company to fix our AC.The other AC company said the condensation drain line was clogged and needed to be cleanedIt ran three months without changing the filter during summer and constructionWe see this type of failure all the time.They also said that whoever installed our AC and air handler did the worse job they had ever seen.It was a terrible installation by another company (sorry to repeat)Why not go after the other company? They wanted to spend thousands on the remodel and $on underground inspection so they could move wallsThey needed an expert opinion on the underground duct and moving walls and they did not take our advice.The other AC company said that there was not a filter base so there was no way to change our air filter, they said that even if there was a filter base we still wouldn't be able to change our filter because the condensation line was in front of where the filter base should go, and our AC unit was ton too small for our house (among many other things) [redacted] ***, said it was a very bad install and the system had to many issuesThe customer was not interested in paying to having them fixed professionally.We decided to get a second opinion so we decided to have another AC company check out our AC unit/air handlerThe company who gave us a second opinion said the same exact thing as the company that fixed our leak.Frustrated that we can't get the mildew smell out of our daughter's new carpet I decided to call Day Advanced Air Conditioning to see why they didn't clean the condensate line when they were here or notice all of the issues I had with my AC unitThe guy on the phone told me that the service I paid for only checks to see if my AC unit runs to the manufacture's specificationsThis is not correctShe blind called us in September and asked what our maintenance includesWe have three maintenance levels, which again was irrelevant because we were hired to do duct inspectionI expected them to check my air filter, clean my condensate line, you know, tutype of stuffApparently that's not what a tuis to themSince they sent three guys to do an inspection and tuI'm guessing they had hoped to do more to my AC unitWe offered to fix the units and they declinedNot sure why they couldn't have cleaned out the condensate line.Desired Settlement: I want them to refund my money as well as pay to have the padding in my daughter's room replacedWe have cleaned it about five times and on humid/wet days my daughter's carpet smells like mildewWe've contacted a couple of carpet guys and they have said that the smell won't go away unless the padding is replacedIn summary: [redacted] hired us to do an underground duct inspection for construction purposesNot Maintenance! The customers did not want us do fix the workThey were going to handle the repairs themselvesThey did not change their filter all summerReturn was in inadequateCondensate installed incorrectlyThey wanted to save moneyDIY!We feel this customer has slandered our reputation across the web [redacted] tried coercion on the phone to get what she wantedShe was rude and unreasonable.We feel we went above and beyond for this customer!
