ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not totally resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. I do not totally accept the response made by the business to resolve this complaint and am not ready to close this case yet.  I would like to see first what leakage may occur after a good rain shower.  Rick did indicate that he had caulked good around both dormers and if it continues to leak, it would be because of the siding on the dormers.  He did confirm what the other contractor had told me that the gap between the bottom of the siding and the shingles was due to removing 2 layers of shingles and replacing it with just one.  If it continues to leak, the siding on the dormers would have to be replaced so that they would extend down closer to the shingles to eliminate the gap.  The other contractor disagrees indicating to me that the siding is fine and should not otherwise cause the roof to leak, and therefore should not be replaced just because a new roof was put on the house.  If the contract calls for the roofer to adequately seal all areas of the roof, it is his responsibility to do so without having good siding removed.

Revdex.com spoke to Rick at business and the following was relayed: I went there today and took care of everything. I caulked up the dormers. If it still leaks after that it is most likely an issue of water entering from the siding.
