I am rejecting this response because: It is true that Day Wireless reimbursed me for the $179.00   However, it was only after I put pressure on them by contacting Revdex.com, and used social media to make people aware of their poor and unresponsive customer service.  In a letter dated 10-19-15, Mr [redacted] stated, "I have given thought to the matter and the
pricing given is fair and does not warrant a reduction.  Customer service
is something that [redacted] and [redacted] uphold and I have only
received stellar reviews for their services from multiple customers." It is obvious that Day Wireless was not going to do the correct thing until I pressured them.Mr. [redacted] states, "Correspondence between Mr. [redacted] and Day Wireless Systems has
confirmed that the refund has made him whole and a completely satisfied
customer."  This is false.  I would have been a "whole and completely satisfied customer" if they would have treated me with respect, done the job correctly the first time, and not overcharged me.

I am writing to you in response to a complaint brought on my [redacted] on 10/20/2015.  This matter has been closed and the complaining party has been reimbursed for the matter in which there was a dispute for $179.00.  Correspondence between Mr. [redacted] and Day Wireless Systems has...

confirmed that the refund has made him whole and a completely satisfied customer.  I hope that my response to this complaint clears any perceived wrong doing on Day Wireless Systems behalf and that we can put this matter to rest.  Day Wireless Systems understands the seriousness of this complaint and we will continue to improve on all facets of our service. If anything else is needed from me, please do not hesitate to inquire. Kind Regards, [redacted]

Review: I visited the Chico Day Wireless store at 121 W 16th St. in late August and spoke with [redacted] and [redacted] about getting two radios installed in my truck that I use for animal rescue. I told them at the time that I owned an ICOM VHF radio that I wanted installed immediately, and that at some time in the near future I would be adding another unit. I wasn't sure if I wanted to add a scanner or UHF radio at the time. [redacted] mentioned that he had some "trade-in" UHF radios that he could donate to the non-profit group that I volunteer for. [redacted] said it usually takes between 1 - 1 1/2 hours to do an install. I asked if [redacted] F-250s were complicated and he said that they were easy and there should be no complications. Before I left, I was told that somebody would call me with a time that I could bring my truck in. A week later nobody called, so I called the main number. Whoever answered said that they would call me right back. A couple of days later I called again, was promised somebody would call back, and again, nobody did. I visited the store and spoke with [redacted]. He said he would call me later that day with an appointment. He did not. I called and spoke with [redacted] the next day and he finally gave me an appointment. I came back on September 10th at the time of my appointment with my truck and was told that [redacted] had to go pick up his work truck, so I waited while he and [redacted] did that. [redacted] then finally installed my VHF radio. By then [redacted] had reneged on the offer of a used UHF radio, so I told them to run an extra antenna coax and power supply so that I could add a second unit of my choosing at a different time.[redacted] mounted the VHF horizontal on the floor of my truck using a Day Wireless bracket. It was the wrong bracket to sell me; I could not see the screen or any of the controls. It was a horrible install. The extra antenna wire and power cord were not readily accessible like I requested. The bill was over the maximum 1 - 1 1/2 hours labor that I was quoted and came to $331.47About two weeks later, I purchased a [redacted] Scanner and asked if they could install it and fix the angle of the radio mount. [redacted] said that would be an easy install. I made an appointment and showed up the next day at 1400. Nobody was at the shop. I called the number on the door and the answering service gave me [redacted]'s cell phone. [redacted] said that something more important came up, so he left. [redacted] said that I could come in later that afternoon. I came back and when [redacted] looked at the truck again he said that he could not do the work in the time he had allotted and that I would have to come back next week.I came back on September 28th and [redacted] installed the Scanner, and reinstalled the VHF radio using an angled bracket. The charge was $179.A week later I noticed that [redacted] had not grounded the microphone holder like I had requested, so the radio does work properly as it will not scan. Throughout our conversations, I had mentioned to [redacted] and [redacted] that the install was for a non-profit, the [redacted]. We have been working the devastating Valley Fire in Napa County and needed radio equipment quickly. Since our non-profit organization is on a very limited budget, I asked [redacted] if he could offer any discounts. He said that it was all up to [redacted], the Service Manager, and that he had no control over adjusting bills. I spoke and corresponded with Mr. [redacted]. His position is that his company worked in an honorable and professional manner at all times.I feel that the horrible customer service, poor installation, and extremely high price of over $500 to install two units, is unacceptable.Desired Settlement: I would like the second bill of $179 to be negated.
