Me and *** originally had a set agreement that I was to take a frame of a dodge pickup with a diesel motor, cut and shorten the frame, and make an older jeep body fit that frameIn order to achieve this we did it in section and stages according to what the customer (***) was able to affordSo
first we started with the frame shorteningFor that we settled on me being paid dollarsAfter this the enlarged tires we installed in my shop be me and *** and was repositioned in the shop for easier accessibilityThe jeep body was then brought into the shop for planning on how and where it needed to be modified in order to mount to the frame and achieve proper clearanceAt this time *** and I came upon an agreement that I would do the modifications to the body and mount it to the frame for dallors as well as be able to put me decals for advertising on the back end of the jeepI agreed to do this for him for a couple of reasonsOne being he was a multiple returning customer that brought me good businessTwo I saw it as a could affordable advertising investmentThree I was eager to have my business tied to this elaborate buildOnce this agreement was made I began the process as he instructedAs you can see in the photos attached I shorted the frame and installed the tires as well as mounted the jeep body after I had cut out parts of it for clearanceAfter this was completely *** cane to me with more ideas and goals on the buildHe wanted to extend the body of the jeep to accomedate a third row of seatsWhich I was happy to do and did not ask for more moneyI hence needed other parts that he agreed to purchase such as seats shocks and a different style hood exhaust tubes etcHe then came to me a few weeks later with whst he could afford to buy in partsAt that time he explained to me that he needed to save up money for these parts And to take my time on it to give him time to purchase themSo as instructed I did this and worked pn the jeep during slow business timesHe then sent me a text abruptly in January of this year that stated he was worried I would never completely the project and that he either wanted to come pick it up as is or set a date for completionSo I replied saying I would love to finish it for him and asked if a certain date worked good for him Yet I received no response so waiting for one I continued on as normally plannedOne month before the the date I suggested for completion I reached out again inquiring about parts I would need for completion, but got a short responseTwo weeks prier to my suggested completion date I received a message from him stating he wanted to just come get the project as isSo I complied and he came and picked it upAt that time he was concerned about the unfinished work and wanted money back for what was unfinished I responded saying we would have to sit down and about it because our agreement of payment had changed since I was not getting the advertisement for my businessHence I was then threatened to be taken to court and was proclaimed a bad businessman and did not know how to run a businessFollowing after this incident for about a month I exchanged emails back and forth between my and *** explaining that with the time and materials I had invested to reach our agreed negotiation, that was broken because I was not able to advertise my business on the finished product, I would not be able to refund him any moneySo he demanded an invoice with what I had invested and what he paidI complied and sent one which included what he was asking and then explained to him that I did not expected him to pay the balance I was willing to let it go and part ways just as it stoodI then received no response sinceAll of this conversation is in documented texts and emailsI do not expect *** to pay the balance on the invoice and I would love to mend things and continue a customer relationship with him if he is willing, even finishing the projectThank you for the information and I apologize for the wait on my response due to the unused email it was sent toIf any additional information is needed please feel free to call or email meMy phone number is *** and my email is ***. Thank you Greg D***
