An AMAZING place to grow!
I first heard of Daymar on the radio and with all career/technical colleges, I did not think much of it It was not until my wife decided to embark on a career change and chose Daymar that I began to take note At this time Daymar, Clarksville was a hole in the wall establishment, though, even still with its great atmosphere and the genuine urge to see its students and alumni succeed it promised to become something greater That promise was finally realized with the construction of its brand new building, with the building it gave the students and staff room to grow, and it was at this point I decided to join the family Family, a curious term to describe the registration for college, but honestly from the beginning of my college experience to the day I walked for graduation and even still today, that has been my experience with Daymar I was at first unsure of the program that wanted to enroll in, however that was not an issue The knowledge of my admissions representative was quite extensive and it was through that knowledge I was able to decide on the program that I would firstly enjoy, had an aptitude for, and would eventually have the best chance for job placement Despite having applied on the first day of the start of the new term, I did not feel rushed in any way and I did not feel overwhelmed with the workload Most first time college students tend to find bad experiences because they feel a lack of assistance by the departments they may need assistance from and become more and more discouraged as the issue persistsThis issue is not one a student, past, present or future will incur since all departments are introduced and a general synopsis of how that department can help, is given at orientation and even the on the day you apply The instructors are very knowledgeable about the subjects they instruct and have a great passion for their fields of study, something I found to be unexpected and very refreshing This type of dedication in and of itself provides motivation even during the most stressful of times Schedules at Daymar are flexible, and I say that reluctantly since it creates an unfortunate strain on staff as well as other students, depending on the situation That being said the instructors were more than willing to afford a student with the necessary leniencies when the situations are direThe Financial Aid team was also very thorough in the details of the costs I will have incurred and their expectations of me throughout my time at Daymar I was also made aware of all changes made or proposed to my financial situation I used my GI Bill so not very much was expected of me and all other expenses, not covered by the VA were taken care of by the Yellow Ribbon Lastly, Career Services did a phenomenal job with job placement; they not only provide students and former students with exceptional resume review services and interview skills They also spend just as much time in the field (the same field that a student/alumni is attempting to enter) to get help students/alumni the information and the best opportunities to be successful in the job market

Teachers are inadequate, under educated and not committed to teaching the students what they need to learn according to their degree requirementsThe staff gives the run around regarding financial aid, makes promises and over charges on books and material needed for classes

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved

The school is trying to collect money from me (student) when I am not at fault
The Russellville campus I started at closed down fall and I was forced to move to Bowling Green campus Winter During this time my winter quarter was not covered by financial aid due to the move that I was forced intoI owed almost $3,in which the school paid some but still wants me to pay approx$that "they were not allowed to cover"Being since this was entirely on the school I do not feel like I should owe this debt

Please see the attached PDF for the response from Daymar College.---Dear Ms. [redacted]:Please accept this correspondence as Daymar College's official response to Complaint # [redacted] received from the Revdex.com on March 23, 2017 submitted by [redacted]The process for requesting a...

transcript to be sent to another party is for the student to submit a written request and pay a $5.00 fee. A review of the Bellevue campus cash receipt book on March 23, 2017 shows Ms. [redacted] made a $5.00 payment to the campus on February 2, 2017. However, there is no record of the written request that is required to process the request. The Daymar College - Bellevue campus Director Rich E[redacted] reviewed Ms. [redacted]'s student file and other school records after receipt of the complaint submitted by Ms. [redacted]. A written request by Ms. [redacted]'s was not located. On March 14, 2017, Ms. [redacted] sent an email to the Mr. E[redacted] after having an earlier phone conversation with him. In her email (Attachment A), Ms. [redacted] requested the completion of the Medical Board of Ohio Certificate of Education form to be sent back to the Medical Board of Ohio (MBO). She also requested a copy of her diploma since she had lost her original during a move. Mr. E[redacted] forwarded Ms. [redacted]'s request to the college's Assistant Director of Ground Academic, Jessica W[redacted].On March 15, 2017, Ms. W[redacted] completed the MBO form and also provided Ms. [redacted]'s official transcript in accordance with her request. Instead of delaying the response to the MBO by ordering a replacement diploma and waiting for it prior to sending to the MBO, Ms. [redacted]'s official transcript was sent with the form. The $5.00 payment made on February 2" covered the cost of sending the official transcript. A review of the MBO Certificate of Education form (Attachment B) shows the diploma/transcript is not required when submitting the form back to the MBO to certify completion of education requirements; however Ms. W[redacted] included the transcript due to Ms. [redacted]'s request for the diploma. Ms. W[redacted] notified Mr. E[redacted] the request completed. Mr. E[redacted] then notified Ms. [redacted] by email the request was completed (Attachment C).I, Ken W[redacted], in my capacity as Director of Compliance, contacted the MOB on March 23, 2017 to verify that they had received the Certificate of Education form. An MOB employee confirmed receipt of the completed form sent by Daymar College. She also mentioned it does take up to 8 weeks for processing of the licensure.Based upon the research, it is believed that Ms. [redacted] was on campus February 2, 2017 to request her transcript be sent to the MBO. She made a $5 payment for the transcript, but the required written request was not received by the campus. Ms. [redacted] then followed up with the campus on March 14, 2017 and spoke with Mr. E[redacted] who asked for the request to be sent in writing. Ms. [redacted] sent an email providing the written request. Mr. E[redacted] provided Ms. [redacted] notification her request was completed the next day on March 15, 2017. To be clear, Daymar College completed the written request Ms. [redacted] made on March 14th within 24 hours.Ms. [redacted]'s complaint implies Daymar College did not send her the graduation cap / gown and her diploma. When a graduate indicates they will not be attending graduation, a graduation cap / gown is not ordered or sent to the graduate. Ms. [redacted] would have received this communication when she notified Daymar College staff that she was not attending graduation.Ms. [redacted]'s statement also implies Daymar College did not send her diploma. Referring to Ms. [redacted]'s 3/14/2017 email (Attachment A); she mentions she lost her diploma during a move. Ms. [redacted]'s statement in the email to Mr. E[redacted] demonstrates that she received her original diploma from Daymar College. However, because Ms. [redacted] is indicating she would like to receive her graduation cap / gown, I will have that sent to her. Normally there is a $20 fee to replace a diploma, which covers the cost of the replacement diploma and shipping. To assist Ms. [redacted], Daymar College will waive the diploma replacement fee and send her the replacement diploma.Daymar's records indicate that Ms. [redacted] does have an outstanding balance of $33.78 with Daymar College (Attachment D). A bill was sent September 7, 2013 notifying her of the outstanding balance. Due to the age of the balance and being below $50, the balance was written off and not sent to collections. The entry on 10/21/2013 shows the $33.78 being written off.Daymar College works diligently to insure that students, past and present, receive prompt attention. I appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any additional questions or concerns regarding this matter.Respectfully submitted,Kenneth W[redacted] Director of Compliance

+1

DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL! I won't just say that and not quantify my statement either. I have MANY examples of how bad this school is but I will only hit upon a couple here. Credits! This school's credits DO NOT transfer to other REPUTABLE colleges. Schools like [redacted] that have faced lawsuits over fraud may take them but few others. It's a dead end education center you will pay top dollar for. Another example of ridiculous education practices that go on here and remember I have MANY others, SIG translation. The art of reading handwritten prescriptions. ( I am currently in the Pharmacy Technician program) Now remember I am paying $5000 per three month term (by the way the max the VA will pay per month how's that for farming tuition assistance) Sig translation sounds like an important thing to know right? Question, How does someone TEACH a person how to read BAD handwriting? What are the rules for that? It's not bad enough they waste ALOT of valuable expensive class time on what amounts to a guessing game of what one prescription says to the next. This place also TESTS you on it and if you can't read someone's bad handwriting then it counts against you on your grade. How can you ethically grade someone on something you cannot even teach? I have filed complaint after complaint and got nowhere. I have now filed complaints at the ACICS over this school. I hope it works there. Do not go to Daymar College folks, take your high school grad son or daughter or your own tuition assistance money and go to a reputable school. If you do go to Daymar college to check them out READ the contract carefully and ask ALOT of questions and you might see how shady this school really is. Don't make the mistake I did. I've lost over $36,000 in tuition assistance because I was naïve and uninformed. I'm stuck here since credits do not transfer. Please do not do what I did.

Our records on the matters in question do not match the information provided in the complaint, however, we have provided a transcript to the student and university requested.  We have also removed a debt of $1892.74 from the student account.  We consider the matter resolved.  Please...
