Mr [redacted] had a block of rooms reserved due to a Memorial in is familyHe made all six rooms under his name and his credit card guaranteeHis entire guest block checked in and they were all confirmed on the type of rooms that they wantedThey all picked non-smoking rooms so that they could be put together in the same hallwayThey stayed just the one night of March 4, When this type of block is made he is basically at the mercy that his guest's will not damage the property or doing anything to the room such as smoking or taking a pillowI am sorry that Mr [redacted] guest had smoked in Room Housekeeping has to tear apart the room and wash all the walls, bedding and steam clean the drapes in the room in hopes of eliminating the smoke smell, but that was not the caseThe room was rented the following day to another guest who complained that the room smelled like cigarette smoke and refused to stayWe lost a potential customerThere are no smoking signs in the rooms, which clearly state that is there is smoking there is a $smoking fee due the extensive cleaning that needs to be doneThe receipt was sent to Mr [redacted] and I spoke to him personally on the phone and at the front deskHe stated that those particular guests do smoke but would not smoke in the roomThere was evidence that it was done and since he was liable for the rooms he was subsequently charged Regards, Theresa A [redacted] Customer Service Manager

Ms*** did in fact rent the ballroom space on 06/09/16, for a baby showerOver a month later, the contract was signed and sent backThe rate was for $350.00/taxAttached is the receiptShe was overcharged and it was reversedThen it was charged for the higher amount again and then the
difference of $was refundedI spoke to Ms*** and stated that it was refunded from the hotel standpointI even contacted our credit card processing center and it was released from there alsoI asked her for her bank information so I could send something to them to hurry the process along of the refund since it was a bank/debit cardBut she refusedI have a bank authorization release form that we use all the time to help speed things alongI cannot and will not send a second refund without making sure the first one did not really go throughShe refused to understand thatI am more than willing to contact her bank but I could not do anymore for her than I already did without any help from herThank You for your help in this matter, Theresa SCustomer Service Manager

I am sorry that Mr. [redacted] guest had smoked in Room 143. Housekeeping has to tear apart the room and wash all the walls, bedding and steam clean the drapes in the room in hopes of eliminating the smoke smell, but that was not the case. The room was rented the following day to another guest who complained that the room smelled like cigarette smoke and refused to stay. We lost a potential customer.
