As rooms were opening up we were offering rooms to the guests waiting in the lobbyEvery guest had either accepted a room or found a room at another hotelAs the weather was slowly clearing up I noticed there was still a guest in our lobbyThe front desk agent working offered them a room which they declinedAlmost two hours later the guest was still in the lobby and now in the breakfast area with her belongings strewn throughout while she was blowdrying her feet on top of one of our breakfast tablesAs mentioned, all other guests that had been waiting were long gone by this point; either they moved to a different hotel or rented a roomThe snow had stopped and we informed the guest that at this point she either needed to rent a room (we had plenty available) or move to a different hotelThe guest informed us she was not moving until our shuttle was runningUnfortunately we did not have any time frame as to when the shuttle would be running and let her know that she could not camp out in the lobby any longerWe were very understanding and allowed her to relax in our lobby for well over hours with the understanding that she would eventually need to rent a room or leaveUnfortunately she thought the lobby and breakfast area were appropriate places for her to essentially unpack and lounge even though we had multiple rooms available for her rent
