Review: I stayed at one of your chain Day Inns Hotels in Yadkinville North Carolina on June 26, 2013, where I checked into a hotel that was made out to be clean, safe, and not under construction. Upon arrival I noticed work trucks everywhere went inside and checked in not checking out the room beforehand. I had two young girls with me travelling for a dance event and had also got another mother to stay here. We walked into our room a nasty nasty mess, the beds were so sicken I told the girls not to touch nothing! The TV was broken and beat up. The bathroom had NO DOOR on it NO DOOR I mean come on really. Then outside the window was a dirty worker smoking by the pool. They had workers everywhere on site walking in and out not safe in my opinion. I went up front directed my concerns to the manager on duty who told me to bad no refund, I stated why I was wanting a refund and why I was leaving he said sorry no refund!!! He was rude period this place was horrible and I have tried to work with everyone to get my refund. This is wrong I shouldn't been representated that was by this hotel nor treated this way either. I want my money back for this dump that I never stayed at period.Desired Settlement: $241.76 the amount I paid for the dump hotel

I have a problem with your hotel in [redacted]

The address is[redacted], TN

Date of arrival: July 9th

Date of departure: July 13th

Name room was reserved under: [redacted], my mother. (Who is equally displeased, just not the best at emails or computers)

We have photos of the poor condition of the room, cigarette burns in the blankets, the seal on the refrigerator door was broken, alarm clock did not work, microwave was dented, furniture was in a state of disrepair, stuffing showing from arms of the one chair (not two as supposed to be). The floor layout for lighting has been remodeled and conduit is showing, which in of itself is not bad, however, since I know a lot about electrical and how electricity works, when my cellphone must be charged off in your hotel and not at home it tells me that the electrical system of the hotel is being taxed highly. The WiFi was unlocked and unusable as it gave me no bandwidth. I could not even load my email. I just turned my WiFi off. One of the reasons I picked your hotel. I have in the past had great experiences however this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. My family who I was visiting told me that this was basically a drug and hooker den, though I cannot attest to that myself.

When we would go down for breakfast, it would be gone hours before breakfast is supposed to be over. One morning my mother got the last cup of coffee an hour before the end of breakfast and that was the only thing left. No body made more or restocked. They just told us to get their earlier and that breakfast is a morning meal.

(I am so sorry you must work, but we have our own schedule, its our trip, we pay you, do your job is what I thought)

So we complained, and got told we would get a night refunded.

After this complaint the manager proceed to call me and was not nice at all, and would war dial my number, I had to block the hotels number on my phone it was so bad.Desired Settlement: To this date we have revived no refund in any amount.

I would now like our entire bill refunded $211.88

I still have the photos as well as all of the email correspondence.

I am not pleased at all with the way this situation has been handled. I believe this manager (or franchise owner, I do not know how you do things in your business) of this establishment is abusing the name of your hotel and is trying to maximize profits at guest expense.

So please make it right. As I stated before I have retained the photos and the email correspondence ([redacted]) you may be able to look it up in your system. I believe that is the complaint number [redacted]. That is what is in the subject of the email correspondence.

I have tried replying twice to let someone know that the refund has not gone through, no response. The manager is probably just hoping I will go away and we will forget about the horrible hotel we wasted our money on.

Review: I'm filing this complaint partially to let Days Inn national HQ know about the exceedingly poor customer service I endured at the chain's College Park, GA location on Best Road near the Atlanta airport. I booked a room there via Orbitz, and Orbitz has refused to compensate me for the things that went wrong, instead passing the buck to Days Inn. Orbitz advertised Days Inn as having free in-room wifi, but it didn't work because it physically couldn't work, owing to the distance between routers and rooms. When I complained, the Days Inn night staff would not even reset the wireless router, nor would they switch my room from building 3 (which has no wifi routers and therefore no signal) to building 1 (where the only routers are housed), even though one clerk admitted that there were plenty of available guest rooms that night. Instead, the night clerk threatened me with forcible removal from the property, and all the physical violence that such a scenario entails, merely because I complained. The security guard also threatened me. Best Road manager [redacted] took a "blame a victim" approach, implying in a written response that since I was upset I must have deserved to be treated with threats and contempt. Both Patel and the Saturday night desk clerk should be fired. The clerk used threats of violence as a first resort instead of taking any basic customer service steps to please a paying guest. Why wouldn't the ill-tempered clerk reset the router, why are the only routers located in building 1 instead of in all 3 buildings, and why wouldn't he switch my room so that I could access an amenity I had paid for? He did nothing, out of ego and spite and poor training. I felt unsafe and terrorized. If you investigate the registration, you will find the hotel had empty rooms I could have been relocated to.Desired Settlement: I would like the 168.09 or at least half of it refunded to me. Orbitz claims it cannot refund me because Days Inn will not refund it. Given the brutally awful customer service I received at Days Inn, the hotel should either refund me directly or the 3rd-party seller. Orbitz Customer Relations Manager [redacted] recommended that I contact Days Inn Worldwide corporate HQ, since Orbitz claims it cannot release money back to me without the approval of Days Inn.
