I had an extremely bad experience of an Endoscopy and colonoscopy at Dayton Gastroenterology North today, Nov 25, 2014. First, after arriving on time, I was told to undress and the procedures would be done shortly. Instead I laid there undressed for over an hour listening to the staff gossip rather than giving any care or caring attitude to anyone, including me. They were so busy chatting that I could not even get their attention to tell me where the bathroom was. My wife came in after awhile, thinking I must be done , since so many others had already left, but they had not even started with me yet. When I went into the procedure room, I was expecting a caring attitude, but absolutely no friendliness, concern or, courtesy of any kind was given.
When I woke up I was in excruciating abdominal pain, but yet no one seemed to believe it..it just could not be true. They all seemed to think there had to be something wrong with me, not anything wrong with what that they had done to me. They left me to sit in the bathroom over 2 hours in incredible pain, letting my wife go to the store to get me a prescription, instead of doing anything for me themselves (they did give me a small pill to put under my tongue) and I finally left in incredible pain that still has not fully abated at the time I am writing this, 7pm on the 25th. I suspect they hurried me through, filling me way too full of gas because they were behind schedule. Do not go there!, it was the worst and least caring experience I have ever had.
