In December 2015 I had my car inspected at Dayton Valley Market-Services to determine where an anti-freeze leak was coming from I was told it was the head gasket and made arrangements to return the car to them for the repair. I did so on a January 6, 2016. I was told the repair would take approximately 5-7 days. After many phone calls to inquire the status of my car and only getting excuses, finally, I told my car was ready on February 3, 2016, 27 days after I left it with the mechanic. I drove the 7 miles home, and the next day, drove 17 miles to Carson City, NV for a class and when I got in the car to drive home, it would not start. I made arrangement to have the car towed back to Dayton Valley Mart-Services on February 6, 2016. After repeated phone calls to inquire what they found and getting excuses for why nothing had been done, finally I was told t needed a new mass air flow sensor, I authorized it. Apparently it was not issue and after more phone calls and excuses, I told them if they could not have it fixed by the end of business on March 7, 2016, I would find another shop to look at it. They did not have it running. They removed the new mass air sensor and replaced it with the old one. All in all the mechanic had my car for 61 days and was unable to fix it. I paid $1,495.39 for the head gasket repair. I received back a car that stopped running in less than 24 hours. I paid $82.00 to have it towed back where he assured me he would "Make it Right." I will have another tow charge to get to another mechanic. I would like a refund as my only issue with the car prior to him "working" on it was an anti-freeze leak.Desired SettlementI want a refund of the payment made to the mechanic plus reimbursement of towing charges for a total of $1,693.33.
