Dear Revdex.com:We we're never offered any alternative of an upgrade for $1600.  I'm sorry to say this never happened and is totally fabricated. This completely contradicts his previous statement.   I'm convinced Dazco is not reputable and out to rip off owners. Best, [redacted]

[Dear Sir/Madam  The existing condenser unit was not 3.5 ton it was much bigger than the one replaced. Obviously, it's gone now so it's here say on both sides. Anyway,If that was the case then why didn't Dazco check the unit and advise me that I needed 5.0 ton to match the BTU's etc.... and upsell me rather than put in a unit that is too small? Isn't that the logical advice to the homeowner if Dazco has so much experience ?  Therefore, Dazco is not reputable nor professional and knowledgeable in this matter. Best regards, [redacted] Your Answer Here]

Review: On June **, 2012, Dazco Heating & Air Conditioning installed a 3.5 ton Luxaire condensing unit. This unit has never worked properly because I was recently told by my contractor and another ac guy told that I need a 5.0 ton unit. Thus, it is not matching with the BTU's and coil. Which makes sense because the thermostat is upstairs and it would be set at 74 degrees but downstairs was always 76-77 degrees. So I've been wasting a lot of electricity and energy. I contacted Steve D[redacted] to resolve this issue but got no where.Desired Settlement: I spent $3400 with Dazco for this 3.5 ton unit and would like to get it replaced with 5.0 ton and pay the difference etc...or get some compensation because I would need to get a new 5.0 ton for $4000. It is my hope that Dazco can take some responsibility for improper installation.

Response:

The business has responded. Please see below:Dear Revdex.com, This is a reply to the customers statement of problem. On July **, 2012 Dazco HVAC replaced an outside condensing unit only. We Removed a 3.5-ton condenser and installed a new 3.5-ton Luxaire condenser. It is not uncommon that when you have an airflow issue, to then install a bigger indoor blower with a smaller condensing unit outside. We are in the business to make money, we would of gladly installed a 5-ton unit. The request of the customer was for Dazco to replace the same exact size unit they originally had and did not want to spend the money to upgrade to a 5-ton unit. I've personally explained this to the customer. I am providing a copy of the bill which was payed and clearly states she was charged only for a 3.5-ton unit. I've also spoken directly with the customers lawyer by telephone and he recognized Dazco HVAC did the proper installation. The customer stated she was going through a divorce and has not used the air conditioning for three years. I find this odd. We are a company that has been in business for over thirty years with a very respectful reputation.
