Review: August 13, 2013

1. The early part of March 2013 I called Service Electric Cable TV. Their repairman came out and stated I needed a Tuner for my Magnovox TV, model RL 8510 AK04.

2.1 then called Mr. [redacted], DB Electronics about my Magnovox TV with the problem the picture would periodically dissolve into numerous small boxes.

3. Mr. [redacted] came out March 5.2013, and said I needed a tuner, charged $180.00 deposit, for the service call and tuner.

4. It was taking a long time so I called Mr, [redacted] who said he was sent the wrong tuner and will get back to me when the correct tuner comes in the mail.

5. Mr. [redacted] was scheduled to come out mid May 2013 at approximately 1:00 PM as I had a 3 :Q0 PM doctor appointment. I waited. At 2:30 PM his wife called to say he was sick and couldn’t come, he’d reschedule when better.

6. May 29, 2013 Mr. [redacted] arrived with 5IN20UT auto sensing composite/S-video selector switch, radio shack catalogue #15-314. The selector switch was not in a box and did not have a manual. He charged me another $90.00 and did not install the tuner he said was needed to repair my TV.

7. August 11. 2012 the video selector he installed on my TV broke after only 2 months

service. The small boxes were periodically back too, I suspect this video selector switch was used. n^ tv pr< tun,

I called radio shack August 12, 2013 to check the price of this video selector switch at ###-###-#### and was told the cost was $34.99.

8. I spoke with Mr. [redacted] August 13, 2013, he stated he could not get a tuner for my TV, offered to come out to look at my TV again and selector switch but did not schedule a date.

I now have $270.00 invested in a TV Mr. [redacted] knew he couldn’t fix cause he couldn’t get the tuner and a 2 month old broke video selector switch I had no reason to want. The TV is still not repaired.
