Refused to complete the work as required under the contract documents. Did not deliver project in a timely manner. Failed to coordinate work with [redacted]'s subs even though paid to do so. When we withheld money due to failure to complete punch-list and corrective work, DBJ filed a mechanics' liens against our coop. DBJ did not pay all subs as required under contract documents and stated "you deal with it" since we withheld 5% retainage for failure to complete punch-list as we were permitted to do under contract documents. Refused to correct work in the field unless paid for work which had not been completed. DBJ stated that items requiring correction or repair has been called in the field or accepted when such was not the case. We have undertaken residential and commercial alterations in the past and have never confronted the problems we had here. I would not recommend DBJ/[redacted] to anyone.
