First of all the homeowner didn't want to pay to have his pad dug out to drop it enough to pour the pad below the siding2ND he watched us the whole time we did the jobHe ask me about covering it I told him it does not need to be covered it wasn't going to be that coldHe insisted on covering it and waiting to cure itThen he asked us to cure it the next day so we didWhen my guy sealed it it had moister on top of the concrete so seal didn't take we went back and cleaned off the sealer and sealed it again it was good when we leftEverything was done right

I have done everything you have ask me to sorry we couldnt please youI will wait for court because the pad is fine

No I have not submitted for a small claims review. It is the holidays and will be waiting until I can get an expert statement from a concrete contractor whether my pad can be fixed and what the cost will be.The contractor did not ask me if I wanted the pad above my siding and said since it was only an inch it shouldn't be a problem. Excuse me but does he not understand concrete will run moisture right into my siding and cause wood rot.He showed up at 7:started work around 7:15am and did not plan on leveling the pad until I said somethingHe asked how low do I want it and I said lower than siding and did not have to be same height as my deck concrete pad not connected. He took it upon himself to do this and also did not set the eye hooks properly to secure my grills.I have already paid him because I did not want a lien on my house. He is truly trying to blame everything on me but he is suppose to know how to lay and form concrete, it appears he thinks I as a homeowner does not know how to properly do this and when to put a seal on the concrete. It was in the degrees that night without wind chill and he planned on not covering it.I have tried working with him but he just said wants to blame me.***

I am rejecting this response because:
First of all the contractor never asked for any additional monies to drop the pad lower than my siding - issue number 1.Second the concrete was originally sealed when it was going to freeze overnight in the 20 degree range without wind chill factor. I asked if this would be okay even though it was going to freeze and he said it would be okay.I have video proof that the original seal did not properly seal because he should not seal concrete just after it was poured especially within 48 hours and how cold it was going to get.Any concrete contractor except this guy will tell you this and you should cover the concrete when it is going to freeze and not to put any sealer down until it is warm enough.I also asked the contractor if it would be okay for me to cover it since he did not plan on doing this and he stated and I quote as long as it is dry then you can. At this point I waited 4 hours for the sealer he sprayed on to dry and then I applied the cover after I tested to see if it was dry. I also tested this and I have video proof of this as well at the time I put on the cover and the time he applied the sealer 4 hours earlier.I am having a concrete sales guy look at my concrete pad who is an expert to write a written statement along with another concrete independent contractor who will verify if this job was done correctly. The eye hooks he also installed so that I could secure my grills on the pad were not set correctly and one of them is coming out which I also have video of this.I have decided to take this contractor to small claims court in Johnson county after I get the statement from the concrete sales guy and the concrete contractor who will not complete the repairs.I expect a full refund for this job as I will have to pay another concrete contractor to do the job correctly and dig out the concrete he poured incorrectly.

I am rejecting this response because:
1. The owner of the company had someone text me and harassing me that either works for him or affiliated with his business. I have blocked his texts and his number. I have also blocked the owner because of his rudeness calling me names which is very unprofessional, like terms '[redacted]' '[redacted]', etc. I am neither and I am married.2. The contractor is unwilling to fix these issues:    a. Eye Hook Screws were not set correctly and one can be removed completely. They were set by him and I asked him to set them to secure my grills which obviously won't work as they are both set improperly.    b. The pad itself is set above my siding. I specifically asked the question was this a problem and he said no. Apparently he does not understand that water can form on concrete and it will touch my siding causing wood rot, not to mention the concrete itself that is touch the siding which is around .5" to 1" of concrete touching it. He showed up to do my job at 7:00am and never intended on leveling my ground before putting in the pad. I informed this was a necessity and that it should be low enough not to interfere with my siding. He had concrete showing up at 8:30am so he did have enough time to prep my ground and was rushing to get it done that morning. If he had allow enough time he could have properly obtain the needed depth so that the concrete pad would not touch my siding.    c. The sealant he put on was sprayed on during cold temps around 20-30 degrees and thus did not properly dry and seal before it got even colder outside. I told him I would wait long enough for it to dry before I put the cover back on and he agreed to allow me to do this. He then came back out to reseal it because he knew he had made a mistake, but this did not resolve the two above issues. I have filed a police report for harassment and I am informing this company right now, DC Concrete and [redacted] or any of his workers, friends, or family to stay off my property and do not call me or contact me. If you contact me again either by phone, mail, or in person I will seek a restraining order against you. I will not tolerate your intimidations by harassing me by phone or texting me. The only acceptable solution is for me to hire another concrete contractor to rip out this pad and replace it below the level of my siding and to not to seal it for 30 days to allow the concrete to cure on a warm enough day.

and waiting to cure it. Then he asked us to cure it the next day so we did. When my guy sealed it it had moister on top of the concrete so seal didn't take we went back and cleaned off the sealer and sealed it again it was good when we left. Everything was done right.
