We contracted with and performed the work for Mr [redacted] on 11/2/As and listed in the scope of work of the proposal, we powerwashed the house before in preparation for painting, which is a standard procedure for painting any property to remove dirt, dust, and debrisWhen powerwashing, the entire house gets washed, as it would be almost impossible to keep any part dry or untouched from the powerwashingWe do this before every job and paint about homes and over commercial jobs each yearWe have never had this type of complaint in over years of businessPowerwashing does not have the power to make long cuts through a screenIf it was powerwashed too close, it may leave score marks, where it would show some discoloration but it certainly wouldn't cut the screen in long slicing cutsAlso, if we powerwashed too close, it would damage the adjacent stucco and wood surfaces with score marks as wellThere was no resulting score marks on the wood or stucco from this project, which shows that the powerwashing was not done too closeMr [redacted] contacted us on 11/28, when claimed we had ruined his screensWe told him we would get out there to look at the claimed damageHe contacted us again on 12/10, since we still had not been able to get out thereWhen we got out there on 12/11, our superintendent inspected the screens and made the observation that the screens were graying and discolored from the sun, and brittle, and needed replacement well before we paintedWe explained to him that his screens were aged and brittle and that powerwashing would not make those types of holesWe explained this to him and Mr [redacted] threatened that we have to replace all of them or he will put a complaint on Yelp and Revdex.comNot only do we feel we are not responsible for the damage, his desired settlement was unrealistic as well
