D&C Tree & Stump Service

[redacted], owner of the company failed to complete the job promised and damaged some of my equipment which he borrowed to do the work.
Mr. [redacted] of D&C Tree Service agreed to cut down some trees on my property, cut them into manageable pieces and grind up some stumps on March 29,2012. He asked me if he could use my bushhog to do some work on my neighbors property. I agreed provided it was returned in good condition. On March 30th, I saw him and his crew packing up to leave and I asked him about some unfinished work (stumps that need grinding and long trunks that needed to be cut up. Additionally, his crew cut down some trees that we didn't want cut down. He said he would be back on Monday. He never came back to finish the work. In addition, when I checked the bushhog, the PTO shaft was missing. I called him to find out what happened and he said that it broke and he was going to fix it for me or get me a new one. The next week he failed to return. After numerous phone calls and promises from him to finish the work and return the PTO shaft, the work still remains unfinished and the shaft has never been returned. Over the past two years I have sent him certified letters but he does not pick them up. I paid him $500 in cash for the job.
